So this is my new genre I've been working on, I call it happystep, so that's what I titled this song. I have a good explanation of it, so here it is.
To describe it, I'll go pretty in depth. The genre's I'm actually mixing are dance, trance, dubstep, industrial, and hardstyle. The melodies are either dance or trance. I write mostly in a major scale which lends itself to a more happy sound. Then the drumming is either a simple 4-on-the-floor or something similar to that. Bass pedal should be varied from the quarter-note pattern but should emphasis the beat. I put snare on 2 and 4 (industrial), though it could work on 1 and 3 (dance), or just 3 (DUB). The Bass should be heavy but not overpowering since the emphasis is the melody in a way more similar to dance or techno. BPM is high or atleast seems high, should seem faster then Dubstep most of the time. Also, I use a hardstyle noise to keep the beat interesting. Finally, breakdowns work well, I like to use them a lot, being the metal fan I am, and from the one I used in Dropped I thought it worked well.

Keep going on this path, I loved this song. It is going on my ipod. Sounds better than the WIP. I would loved to be notified anytime you have a new song. ;) I dont have any complaints for this song. Cheers!

Ladies and gentlemen...
This song is fantastic.
It feels a lot different from your other stuff, even the WIP, and it's probably because of the awesome synths and legato harmonies (which are needed for awesome freaking songs).
Needs more solo of course haha but in all honesty there isn't anything noticeably wrong with this song.

for a mix this is great just a small suggestion the sounds tend to clash in some spots but not really many it seems like some of them are fighting to be on top. but still great work. if you could stop by my page and listen to a few of mine i need help in learning some new techniques cause i want to mix some of my tracks and i do not have a clue how to do. any how good job keep it up looking forward to hearing more of your work to come
