with poizone going off like that. u should incorporate a high pitch rhythm going on to it. it would add to the destruction going on in the electronic type bass. i think u should get multiple drum samples. i have some good ones that i got a week ago. i got 7 now and a industrial drum sample. i also thing u should add a very distorted drop kick when the the beat changes. it would add to the mood. and mess around with the EQ. cant hear the kicks that well. or boost them with an amp like blood overdrive. i like it but add a should beat melody to it like a 8 bar rhymetic change with unough velocity to be heard. with that, u sould probally put a reverb on it also. just my thinking, happy production!
Was gonna comment on how I liked the sidechaining
but then i realized it probably wasnt on purpose.....
needs to... be a song.
More instruments... Better percussiion at the very least that cuts through
there is a lot more that has been done to the song, this is just what i rendered out for its first shot, i agree it does need to be put more into a song, i have to shorten a lot, i basically had all the parts to it figured out and wanted something basic and loopy before i got to messing with envelopes and proper timing xD im still trying to get that bass smoothed out. the percussion being the finer point to why i need more poizone knowledge
To be honest, i am still also learning about compression and got lucky with that one xD
sound kinda messed up, like a circuit bend keyboard or somthing. Very, VERY electronic, and to be honest, some people may love it but i personally dont like this kinda stuff...so, sorry, its a 3/10 from me
hey you know i really i like the electronic sound and i appreciate the comment, and to be honest i love oscillating circuits! i mean what do you expect from an artist known as the Electroskunk of Diluted Intent?
anyway putting that aside, it does still need some work, im going for a 3/4 pattern to give that internalized feel, to me this song is about putting that electric noise into someones body and making it obey. i still need to fuck around with that main chorus a little to get the timing more spot on and come up with a more interesting kick and percussion, im just a little excited the work is still in progress and developing out more than this rough cut.
you know 3 out of 10 is still something from someone who doesnt like this genre of electronica/EBM. if you have any other kinda criticism im an open target :D
