Godless Abomination

I have spent an obscene amount of time on this one, and I think it turned out to be pretty epic. This is a continuation of the scenario given in Our Last Words.

As the characters finally manage to extract the shadow magic from Lurien's soul, it remains in her body by taking physical form. Just as she regains her senses, she screams in pain and jerks uncontrollably as physical shadows tear across her body, inside and out. Veins close to the surface visibly darken and swell with solid malevolence, and her skin turns deathly pale. With a horrible ripping noise, a jet-black arm suddenly erupts from her throat and out of her mouth, twitching in the air. A toothy maw opens in the palm and lets out a screech as more shadows form around her body, lifting her into the air on a writhing mass of tentacles and pseudopods that slowly form into legs the size of tree trunks. Arms break out of the central mass to match, and a twisted, faceless head raises into position as Lurien's limp body sinks into the torso of what is now a massive humanoid composed entirely of shadows. The mouth in the arm's palm lets out another trumpeting cry, unnaturally loud for its small size, and the great creature lumbers into position to attack the characters. Cue a particularly horrific boss fight.

Every time I check out one of your songs....

I'm blown away by the sheer creativity and skill. Literally, the only issue is that you might want to improve the dynamics a bit. Other than that, this song is unbelievably unnerving! 10/10!

Glad you like it! My original thought behind it was that I got annoyed of everyone all over YouTube insisting that One Winged Angel was the alpha and omega of all boss themes everywhere, so I decided to try and emulate its "epicness" by creating a ridiculous, off-the-chain opus in its image. I didn't quite get there, but I'm still proud of what I got out of my time spent on it.

Great job man, I could definitely see this fitting really well in a movie or game. I particularity liked the organ.

masterjiji responds:

Thankies, and glad you liked it.
