well, hello there!

im obviously not dead, but (thankfully) i got plenty work to do. but now the exam period was over, suddenly i have some free time to producing music and stuff. currently im working on this little project for some time now, (about a month). its still work in progress, but i think im going to finish it sooner or later, because im not planning any big changes till it was finished. although, there is still a lot of work on it, proper mastering, mixdown, some additional pads, etc. although i know this is too much to ask, but i REALLY would like if someone vote, also post a little word about it! thanks for checking up on me, i love u guys, cya next time, thx!

Pretty Good

Nice tune, funky beat, pretty speedy too. It does get a bit monotone though, despite the shifting background music, the beat seems to stay the same way all the way through, would be nice with some power-ups and downs along the way, the ambient section at around 1:40 sounds great though, grimily industrially ambient, great beat. Seems like the track loops good too, which is always a plus, keep it going! Looking forward to hearing the final version of this.

It is a good track, but there is plenty of more room for variance and improvement. The problem is that it is a little linear; evolution is a key instigator of interest in any song. To go from the original sequence and expand upon it in one large, never-ending flow.

Even the most linear songs have a certain degree of progression and/or balance that definitely makes up for the straightforward approach. Right near the end you started doing that and you broke the repetition.

This is not to say that repetition is purely bad, as some tracks can still be enigmatic and lure a listener in despite being repetitive. The problem with drum and bass is that it suffers far too much from repetition as this is a very, VERY common happenstance.

I've always appreciated your music and think you have great talent. I know you'll ultimately become greater than what you are- without a doubt. This track, while good, is not exemplary of your talent.

There is one thing that definitely stands out in the track: Your interesting choice of synths/samples. Especially near the end, I love the way you imbued into the track this 8-bit presence that beckoned to days of oldschool console or PC games. Actually, it reminded me a little of 'Beneath a Steel Sky' (Excellent game I would recommend to anyone that knows how to appreciate adventure click&pick games).
