This is a piece that was greatly inspired by falling snow, a world blanketed in diamond dust, and a general sense of all things Winter. In other words, the beauty of it as opposed to the brutality of sub-zero temperatures, frostbite, and so on.

I ended up getting pulled away from the composition for a while (eh, you know...stuff happens), and it was in danger of being an unfinished work when I finally picked it back up and decided to wrap it up rather than leave it forever in musical limbo. It was actually a close friend of mine that asked me randomly, "Are you ever going to finish Winter Solstice? I really like what you have so far, and I want to hear more." Thanks to her, I did. I guess this can be a dedication of sorts...

"Thanks, Cory Anne!"

Edit: I have successfully remastered this piece in order to remove that somewhat muffled quality from having too much mid-range EQ. The sound quality should be notably improved. I can certainly tell the difference, and I hope you like it!

I can see the snow falling from the clouds and whirling to the ground in spectacular winds then the clouds moving on to let the sun dance on those beautiful crystal fields. A lovely experience in music! Made my soul dance along with the wind and snow! :)

ChronoNomad responds:

I am entranced by your lovely review! And I thank you for it. That is precisely the kind of scene that this song conjures within my mind's eye, as well. Winter takes on so many guises, and those placid fields of diamond dust glinting in the sun always leave me dazzled. Even at night, by the light of the moon. My soul is dancing right along with yours!

for something called winter solstice im feeling a sence of warmth from this one, i can't give a proper review of the notes when i had my speakers all the way up and i have slight temporary tenitus from the high notes at the beginning, my fault

ChronoNomad responds:

Careful with those eardrums! They're the only ones you're ever going to have.

I guess it really is true that perception is in the eye of the beholder. Or is that ear of the listener? Maybe it's so cold that hypothermia is setting in and it's making you feel warm! D:

good but......

this song has such potential but came of so flat to me some parts are way to muffled I really want to see a rework or a mastery fix of this pm me if you ever release anything specific to this track!

ChronoNomad responds:

Okie doke. I generally prefer to move forward rather than back, but since I've gotten a couple similar comments on the mastering I may just make an exception. Thanks.

Excellent Winter Song

Dude this is the song I'll be playing every time it snows. This is a great song you made here. It's got a fantastic beat and a wonderful tempo. It snows a lot here and it fits the mood very well. I loved how you made this Trance Song. The mixture of different types of beat made this song very enjoyable. keep up the great work man. I have found my new favorite Winter Song. I'll be looking forward to your other music works soon. Wow this is great. Best Trance Song I ever heard. 10/10.
