A symphonic layering made to the track "Darkness In Me" by my friends band Closer.

Made as a tribute to an incredible band and a great bunch of guys.

Vocals: Andreas Melberg
Lead Guitars: Per Bergquist
Rythm Guitars: Jonas Skoog
Bass Guitars: Björn Ahlqvist
Drums & Percussion: Tobias Persson

and Symphonics and Orchestrals added by me.

Original track:

Edit: Fixed the bass guitar credit.

Edit 2: Hey, weekly #1. Thanks alot, computer overmind.

Final Edit: Just wanted to squeeze in the Closer myspace and facebook pages for y'all even though they're inactive at this time. Credits are credits though ;D /10367416719

Very awesome!

I've never been a fan of screaming, but the music for this song is brilliant. Your additions give this song a Nightwish feel and it's just amazing. I do agree with Meteordragon01 where I'd like to see a version without the vocals.

I like this!

This song although melodical, has that very important element that really makes it good. That element of course is the slight contrast between the 'heavy' parts and the 'light' parts. The heavy being the drums and voice, and the light being the celestial chords in the background.

Quite good.

This is one of the best music pieces on Newgrounds I've heard.
The opening was catchy, then it really ramped up from there ;)
But, like other people have said, it would be better without the vocals, as a soundtrack.
Good job though.

not normally into "metal"

But the Guitar riffs and melody drew me in! The Screaming i could do there a purely Instrumental Version?

Lashmush responds:

I simply worked in the symphonics on a finished MP3 of their track. If I had the master tracks, sure. But without the vocals the original ensemble is disturbed and the track will lose a lot of its original feel which basically renders my symphonics moot. :c

Thanks for the review.

Awesome shit

the only thing i ws wondering is if you might put up a version without the vocals? Cant get enough of the music, vocals are great too, but its awesome yeah

Lashmush responds:

Impossible to do as I only used an MP3 to work with. if i had gotten access to the master i would've been able to mix it properly as well.

thanks for the review. :3
