Here's a little orchestral waltz made in classical binary form, hurray! Comments and critiques are always welcome.

Let me know if you'd like to use this for anything.

Nice waltz

I really enjoyed it. :)

Really good!

Hey callitsleep89,

Pretty excellent, with a good mixture of highs and lows. The eq'ing is fantastic, with the lovely chimes coming in at high points and the strings making a lovely backbone. I love the balance in this quaint little piece. Well done.

Very epic and yet quaint at the same time. A wonderful use of tubas or low brass in the background, the motif comes back again and again and it's quite blissful, really. Makes a sense of peace and calm inside.

Very nice and well orchestrated with nice snare rolls and the like. The feel is very professional-sounding and unique. It has that special factor that sounds like it wasn't put together in a hurry, but lovingly crafted.

--Wow! Factor--
It hit me after a while that this was actually a very nice and well made piece. Looking at the current score of 3.57, I thought it might be an average piece, but this deserves at least a 4.20. People here just don't appreciate good peaceful music.

--Personal Tilt--
Eff what they say, I LOVE you. I love this kind of peaceful serene music a la Tim Burton, and I guess you've hit a soft spot in my reviewing palette. Well done and thank you for letting me listen to your track "Grandiose Manipulation".

Not a bad piece at all. It does give me a bit of a FF feel, or any RPG game really. It would fit in one really well.

The instruments all sound great. Crisp and clear. The melodies are creative and I like the slow pace of the song.

The only thing the song really lacks is length. It seems to end a bit prematurely, and leaves me wishing it had continued. Great piece though, keep up the great work.

callitsleep89 responds:

Yea, I couldn't think of a bridge section that would fit with the instrumentation I had used, so I chose to end the song fairly early. I do want to go back and eventually expand on it.

Anyways, thanks for the review!

Sounds like a sort of klezmer/haunted carnival song. The melody played by the clarinets (?) was really well brought out.

Thanks for the review!

Solemn & Soft

I love your orchestration -- very nice use of the EWQL samples, and a lovely composition.

Good luck in the NAC Orchestra competition!

9/10 & 5/5 (sorry that didn't help your score much -- my voting power isn't all that high).

callitsleep89 responds:

Thanks for the review! I hope it does OK in the competition. It's a shame I couldn't use the track I'm working on, but it was no where near done.
