I'm having trouble figuring out how to finish this song.
I've always wanted to learn how to make proper trance songs but this has always been my dilemma.
The biggest obstacle i can't seem to overcome is properly structuring the song and figuring out what comes after a certain part.

As you can see, i have a kick, hihats, and a bassline, then an arp comes in through an automation clip, and then it fades down and thats the end of it.
Now i can't figure out how to incorporate a melody into the song....

DO A FINALE!!!!

In my metal opera whenever i have some interesting things like this going on (which i have several songs thatre like dance hardstyle techno etc) i like to end a song with a bang then a calm quiet fade out. So for a finale take all the patterns you have (take out the ones that dont work together) then add same crazy awesome keyboard or something high pitch solo after that last beat you know and go crazy for like 10 - 20 seconds then slam it down real fast and take it back to the core beat n the very beginning and let it fade off. Then go back and add a tad of ambient in the background so when the ending fades off so does that adding a touch of awesomnesss :D awesome work keep up the good work and consider my idea :D

Lots of potential!

I saw your post in the audio portal and I just want to let you know that in whatever genre you are looking to specialize in, listen to just instrumentals in them and listen to the development. Start by mimicking it and adding itself to your own style and soon, by drawing influences from anywhere, you will have your own sound! It doesn't happen overnight, but you can do it. You already have a hold of moving aronud a bit in keys, but you want when people listen to your music that you have something that is different and innovative! You have yet to discover it, but just dig within yourself, practice hard and DON'T STOP!

Hey thanks alot man i appreciate it i'll definitely try to keep at it.
It's nice to hear to hear some positive feedback for a change and some motivation from somebody aside from all the people telling me to quit and give it up.
I really do believe i have potential here and it'd be a shame to throw it all away just because of some non-believers.

sounds good.
in the beginning. the drum loops like idk 4 times before the bass comes in. do some trickery with that. for instance.
go to your mixer. on the master track, add a Parametric EQ 2. Right-click the arrow at the top-right to look through the presets. I don't have FL open right now but I think there's a preset called "Old Radio." Use that. It won't sound good. thats what youre going for. trust me. okay. so right beside where it says Parametric EQ 2 there's a level knob. right-click it and click "set automation." so the first idk, 3 1/2 mesaures have the EQ on the whole way. then, have the automation slope downward to zero. its cool to have a snare roll going on that fourth measure and then a crash on the forth beat and some silence. its dramatic. i hope im making sense. maybe you'd like to put a simple little arp melody in there at the beginning. some echo, who knows..just add stuff, make it sound busy but good.
alright that was a mouthful.
thats jsut a little trick. electronic music always has some sort of beginning like that.
just listen to the songs you like. make note of the structure. the little tricks they do, and the way they do their songs. i hope. i helped with my example.
