"Rescue" is my current masterpiece, if you wish to call it such, for concert band. It depicts a fairytale in four musical chapters as such:

Chapter One

The hero is on his way. (Yeah, not too much for this chapter.)

Chapter Two

The hero arrives at the Abandoned Castle. When wandering around, a beast suddenly appears! The two begin to fight dealing blow after blow. Finally, the hero deals a great blow to the beast. It wails in pure pain! It constantly falls to the ground and get's back up, trying to stay alive. But alas, the beast dies.

Chapter Three

The hero finds the Sleeping Maiden in her tower. She is softly lit by beautiful stained glass. And she, she is beautiful, innocent, and pure as she lies in deep sleep. The hero begins to approach her, with his emotions rising. He finally is next to her, begins to caress her head and lifts it. He leans in and kisses her. After a moment, she begins to wake, and her eyes sparkle in the light. They leave the castle together.

Chapter Four

And they ride off, away from the Abandoned Castle. They live happily ever after as they ride into the distance.

So yes, it is a cheesy story line, but that's just part of the fun of this piece. It was written to be exciting and fun to listen to, and perform as well. Yes, this piece was written to be performed and has an anticipated world premier this spring at my high school band's spring concert.
