Seals and Crofts - Diamond Girl (Lapse Remix)

Just something for fun. Trying not to take anything too seriously. Just having a good 'ol fashion time. I started this remix a long time ago and it never went anywhere. I just found it again and, being inspired by the initial work; did an over-haul to it. Then, Hard-drive crashed on the 1st of the year. Was then allowed to do very minimal work to this file - which is, for the most part, finished. I just wanted to add finishing touches, volume changes mainly. Beh. The percussion towards the end is actually from an older song "Letters From An Iceberg" (was a place holder) haha.

This was supposed to be released on the fifth; my birthday. Sorry I'm late, listeners. I hope you all enjoy. Download at your discretion.

I'm lost. But in a good way.

Man. You have some talent for creating some immersive music. It's really easy to get lost in your addictive loops and smooth transitions, at least on the few pieces of yours that I've heard. A bit repetitive for me in middle, but it really set up the next part when the guitar comes back in perfectly. Kind of like a trippy blues piece, overall.

Thanks a lot, man. Glad you like. I just checked the main audio page and was surprised to have 4 of my pieces on there. Kind of cool. The portion in the middle was inspired by disco-edits. Which are extremely repetitive dancy-ish tracks, some interesting remixes from them. Check out Tiger & Woods, if you're curious. Glad you like, Blues and Jazz are a big influence for me.

It's a cute remix

I looked at the length of the song and assumed that it would be one of those remixes that take like 10 minutes just to get all of the instruments going at once.
This is (sort of) true, but that didn't hinder it in the slightest. I've never heard the original, so I dunno what to tell you, other than I love your take on things. Don't stop being cool.

(The guitar in your songs is always so god-damn stylish)

Haha, I try'n keep it fresh. Progressive melodies keep things interesting I suppose. I'm surprised to hear people are unfamiliar with the original song. You're like the 3rd person to speak to me about that. It's a great track. Either or, I'm glad you continue to like.

(:

Nice job!

Your song is not rated nearly well enough. I love the reverse vocals at the beginning and the melody is fantastic.

I really don't have much else to say. People are just jealous haha so just wait a little while and your rating will eventually raise to what it needs to be.

Haha, Thanks man,

Thanks for the honest and proper listen and review, light. Keep it easy, man and have a good year, no, no. Have a good lifetime!
