6th Voice Acting Contest Final Results!

Little Rimmy's Christmas Story Final Score: 84

FatKidWitAJetPak's Final Judgment:

Acting: 35/35
Fit: 25/25
Originality: 10/15
Range: 15/15
Mixing: 8/10
Final: 93/100

This is a perfect example of great acting in a comedic environment. You have a great narration voice. you should try out for a commercial, because this is one of the most professional quality skits that I have ever heard. The story wasn't all that original, but still was hilarious and would make a great Newgrounds animation. I'm surprised that it wasn't actually... maybe next year! Remember to get yourself out there, because if I were an animator I would choose you for sure.

I noticed some popping in your mixing, you can get rid of that by decreasing the volume down to 0% at the very end of your recordings. Most editors have a very easy to use interface that allows you to drag a slider, which gradually decreases or increases volume levels for proper mixing. That popping can easily go away with proper volume adjustments. Other than that, I didn't notice any errors in this skit. It was short, clean, to the point, well acted, and all in all showed that you a good voice actor! Send this to animators when trying out for games and animations, it will for sure get you a position.

I could make this review longer by talking about your errors... but there were so little, I have already covered them! You mixed in very well done sounds and music. They matched perfectly.

JaShinYa's Final Judgment:

"Little Timmy's Christmas Story" By: Seymour 89/100
Acting: 32/35
Fit: 23/25
Originality: 14/15
Range: 13/15
Mixing: 7/10
TOTAL: 89/100

A couple of complaints in the recording. One, work on diction a bit. Some of the words drop or are mumbled. Also, there were audible clicks when you stopped recording and started again. The only other major complaint is the news part at the end- The background music wasn't needed, and the anchor's voice wasn't much different from the narrator's. Overall, I liked the skit. I would have liked to hear more. This was less than 3:00. Good acting, clear for the most part, and a pretty original idea. Thumbs up!

Range - 07/15

Judging on the other scores on entries, I think I fell short from the ranks, but still, nice to know I got some good marks on your end, thanks a bunch :)

Suezo's Easter Judging (V.A.C 6)

Hey Seymour!

It's Easter and I figured you deseved some reviews you were promised. So I thought I would throw in my 2 cents as a peer reviewer.

Acting: 33/35
Continuity: 25/25
Originality: 14/15
Range: 13/15
Mixing: 9/10
Final: 94

Great job Seymour. This is just a breeze for you right? I suppose voice acting just comes to you naturally.

Acting: You know what your doing, I don't really need to go indepth for this one. My only problem with your acting is you characters, at times, can seem monotone when you are trying to reach a specific range with your voice (most notable: the narator) other than that great job.

Continuity: Your story was point to point in context. You introduced the plot, let the listener connect wth the main characterfor a bit, and then gave us closure without going to far into detail or deriving from the story. This was just long enough to not be unbalanced as well.

Originality: Your strength can be a weakness in a sense as well. You story was short and precise enough to be in context with it self but also enough to not offer content that could make itself stand out significantly from the other entries (but you had other things doing that for you anyway.)

Range: I would be stupid not to commend you on your fantastic vocal range. The narrator to the child was a great example in contrast. However, the news reporter may have sounded a bit like the narrator.

Mixing: Not much to say about mixing. Just a couple clicks in between the recordings of your characters

Great Job Seymour. It's always a pleasure to listen to your material.

PM-Doodles responds:

Hey Suezo,
Just wanted to thank you for your honest feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed the little entry so much, I can't wait to see what the final results are...if they ever get here, lol.
