Suezo's Easter Judging (V.A.C 6)
It's Easter and I thought I would give you a peer review in the spirit of good will.
Anyone can live off of 8 bucks! I think I might be proof of that...
Acting: Even though tis skit only really involves one character (aside from the wooing children, and the one man wooing?) You definatley did some good acting with the voiceyou created and the sort of "tongue in cheek" sarcasm of explaining the long and aparently odd deaths of your family.
Continuity: I really didn't see much plot to this skit. So Robert Frost is speaking beyond the grave? or is he a ghost of the winter time like christmas carol? I think what irked me the most was the disappearance of the children... they cheered in the beginning but there was no interaction in the rest of the story, maybe work on that next time.
Originality: I don't know muc of Robert Frost or his work, but I don't see many people talking about him here or there so original character concept yes. Not so much in the actual plot of your skit. Maybe you could have involved the children listening to the story to add some more effect to what you were presenting.
Range: Right, so aside from the children you had: one voice. Granted it was in my opinion well done, so I'm not gonna axe you for not utilizing other voices more, but you did use somethig other than your actual voice (I assume.) which is always a plus.
Mixing: There isnt much to be said about mixing. You pretty much did this in one take? if not then it was well mixed next to the fact there was no other voice to compare interaction with. The children's voices seemed out of character (timing wise) with what Mr. Frost was saying.
If you just add some more voices and maybe a little more content I think this could be much improved in the future. But until then this was a great effort.
