This is part of my "Jazz Masterclass" project.
This track contains the backing track and it's intended for practice or live soloing over it.
You CAN:
- practice on it
- make a video on YouTube with you soloing on top of it.
- use it in a show
You MAY NOT use it commercially.
You may not put it on a CD and sell it.

Tempo is 80 bpm.
Tonality A minor.
Not over squished/ compressed/ limited, so you can record on top on it and add the desired compression.

Track sequenced, performed, recorded and mixed by Mihai Sorohan in 2010.

My god you are such a best <3

Very nice

I'm not fussy about the chord structure it sounds mint I'm going to come up with something to go over this.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for review. Please drop me a line if you record and upload :)

Not much to say...

...It's a standard blues, played in it's most standard form. There really isn't anything to say about it.

The only thing I could add is that this isn't a MINOR blues, since it's form should then be:

I-7 | I-7 | I-7 | I-7 |
IV-7| IV-7| I-7 | I-7 |
VIb7b5 | V-7 | I-7 | I-7/(V-7) :||

Not trying to douche around or make myself look like a know-it-all, just sayin'...

Great standard anyways, I could compare it to the Abersold of Blues, if you get the comparison. ;)

Thanks for review.
From what I think, minor blues is not a specific form including VIb, but just a blues in a minor tonality (not like "C-Jam Blues" which is in C major). As for VIb (with or without b5), this is a substitution than can be used or not, depending of the form you want to make. As well you can throw there a II or another substitution to add more color.

Thanks again for review. Quite flattering to be compared with Aebersold :)

If you post chords of this song too. it'll be helpful for someone who might interrest to learn it. Because it's not a normal minor 12 bar blues.

sorohanro responds:

It is a normal 12 bars minor blues. The form is like this:
I | I | I | I |
IV| IV| I | I |
V | IV| I | V7 :||
