Hello again! This song's a work in progress, more towards finished, though. Still not EQ'd or Mastered properly, and for whatever reason, I've been having trouble getting any quality in mp3s through audacity lately, so I apologize for that. I'll definitely upload a new version (cleaner) when I figure out what went wrong. It's just been far too long since I've released anything with substance, and I wanted to let you all know I haven't died, or stopped making music(same thing)!

I hope you enjoy this!

Regards,
merlin

I like the game-ish feel; this piece is currently fighting for a place on my daily playlist. Certainly would use for a game, if I ever get to something bigger. Keep up good work :)

Runner's Errand

It's a brand new day, with brand new message. Over the Hill He will find, the place to take that message. It's a brand new day, with another new message, across the fields he must run, the windmill needs a repair man to run. At the new place, across the fields, He finds himself, entrusted with a letter of a wife all alone, she wants her husband to come home.

Through the forest he will run, dodging snakes, and ducking branches, onward he will move. At the forest's other edge, he does find, the husband brought low by a wound. With tears of joy and pain, takes the letter, grateful to hear from his love.

But before the Runner can go again, the captain hand him a parcel, urgent to the general it seems, and on he go's, running over grass and mud and broken bones of the fallen, across the river he finds the man, standing atop the hill looking so lonely, so weary, so battered and broken.

From hand to hand, the parcel does move, and then the weary man sends him onward again, this new message ever so important, to his daughter in the city. Over the fields, through day and night he runs. Through snow and rain and sleet the Runner goes, on and on and on, never ceasing, for on him ride the words of a father to child.

Over the guards through the gate, down and alley, up a wall, over the roofs, and through a window, message in hand, he hands it off, a daughters delight, a warming sight. Without word, the Runner takes up the letters atop the dresser, and with a nod, he's gone again, always moving, always going.

From place to place, from mouth to ear, and hand to hand, the Runner will always be there to get it elsewhere. Over fields, and through the snow, across mountains, and over the sea's, The Runner will always be moving, always be going, ever wandering. Ever Wondering.

'where will the next one lead, Will the next one take me home?'

Beautiful. As Always.

I haven't been on lately but imagine my delight to find this when I came back :D I love this one as much as the others. And yes, it officially on my IPod. This is the kind of music that I can sleep to. It makes me think of dancing on black sand that's full of stars. Weird, I know. But that's just me. Never stop what you're doing, love. We will have to come after you if you did lol
