Such simplicity with so much emotion behind it. The tune is very simple and structured beautifully, although a little more variety would have made this a perfect song. But what really gets me is the emotion behind it: an uncomplicated beautiful tune with a side of pain, sorrow and loneliness behind it too. I could truly imagine an angel being stripped of her wings and cast into the world of man, forced to live a mortal life. You've done a beautiful job with this: great work.
This was a really cool song because it had a very consistent style that worked well for itself. I believe you were just softly touching the tops of the keys on the piano for this. Again, I would know how stuff like that works as I have a piano. While it doesn't have a lot of variety, it really works because it has a great light-hearted tone to it. From the title, I thought it might take a dark turn. I guess even disenchanted angels have a lot of beauty.
Some of it seems off, which I guess is what you were implying with the title. An angel can still do great things by showing off its grace, but still not as good as one with true spirit. It even comes off as a little sad. I hope this angel does improve because it is very close to achieving full grace. A broken spell can be mended.
You're music inspires me
Up on a hill
A lone angel sings
She can't fly away
With solid stone wings
The ages stopped her song
And they'll end her soon
The only notes left in her
Are in this melancholy tune
She stays so low now
But once she soared to the skies
Did she come here to rest?
Or did she come here to die?
has an amazing blend of chords, shows true passion within the music :) hard to come by.
Although, in some spots, i dont like the appoggioturo ( the little, quick notes slid in front of the main beat). It maybe just me, but it just sounds a bit outta place.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
