Okay, so it's been a while. Just bought a laptop, had a bit of trouble getting FL working, but it's all good now :D. I made this in about 4 hours, so I don't know, maybe expect something good, maybe expect something bad.

Mastering wise, this is probably my best job yet (if you don't agree, leave a review telling me why!). I made the main synth from scratch using Zebra2 if you're interested.... and you're probably not.

Anyway, I'm still getting better, so don't give up on me :D

Please, please, please leave a review, even if you don't like it. I'm begging you, tell me what I did good or bad!

So, please Rate, Review and Favourite. ENJOY!!!

Yeah! Got me dancing!

Whoa... four hours to crank out a mighty mighty choon like this?

Damn skippy. I really love the trancy feel this has to it... its a beautiful piece of music. I found the chord progression to be a little repetitive... but thats what gives this song its character. Nice job on the preset! I love the pumpy feel this whole song has to it. I love sidechain compression. In the words of Borat... "Very Niiiice!"

I cant wait for you to crank out something else as amazing as this. You win the internet, sir.

BuggMusic responds:

Haha, yeah it was about four hours I think. I understand the chords are a little repetitive. My philosophy on that is there's no way to keep a song from repeating without having thousands of patterns of different melodies and chords. Thanks for the review!

LOVE

I love this song!!! I too am a producer with FL but your work blows mine out of the water! This is a great track it reminds me of Deadmau5. I would greatly appreciate it if you could Message me a few pointers!

Haha, wow, thank you very much! Being compared to my favourite artist is very flattering! I'm sorry to say, I'm not quite sure what I could tell you. Most of my knowledge has been gained through experience. If you want to ask me a specific question I'd be happy to answer it!

Not bad

Your effort is certainly noted, and the fact that this song is so long is nice.

To be honest I liked the intro a lot. I think it was very effective and sounded great. The main synth isn't quite to my liking...it's good...but it's not amazing. Your drum kicks are super meaty! They sound great and really have some depth to them, although I think could probably do with a bit less click.

The drums sounded great and worked perfect when they came in. It was also nice to hear you change up the melody a bit. The bass line came in and sounded very appropriate. I'm not sure that the bass synth is to my liking either. Could use a bit of tweaking IMO. Sounds a bit too plucky to me.

The build in the middle of the song was effective, but when all the instruments hit it seemed devoid of something, but only barely. It's a nice mix, but not extraordinary, and because of that I think you put it to an end really quickly and added some different quieter effects. I'm glad you did too because it sounded good and was much better than just dragging it on.

The end was mostly listen to that over trebled synth that I didn't like too much. It was ALMOST awesome, but I think needs an adjustment in the EQ. Nonetheless, keep up the good work and I hope this helps.

BuggMusic responds:

Thank you for the review! I'm glad you appreciated the meaty kick, which was the result of about an hour of tweaking. I always try to not make my songs drag on too long, but sometimes it feels unfinished or like it's missing something. I hadn't noticed that the synth was too overpowering, so I apologise!

Sounds like its alive!

definitly the techno side of house you might want to check out the jazz side of house such as the artist quantic
anyways, this song reminds me of moth by burial and four tet........it has a rythm that breaths but lacks change in pattern good job though

BuggMusic responds:

Thanks for the review! I just listened to that song, didn't hear any resemblance lol, but whatever. I wouldn't go as far as to say this is tech house, but it's probably more that than prog house. I respect jazz house, but I've always seen it as too repetitive.

Maybe it's just me...

But the synth and the bass at the beginning hurts my ears for some reason. Maybe I have an ear infection, I dunno.
Anyway, onto the meat of the review.

The song is good.

I'd say it's main flaw is lack of complication for a good chunk of it. It's just too simple. You have the chords and a bass, and not much else.

It gets better when the rest comes in, but the chords are too repetative. Also, it's a somewhat unsatisfying progression. Doesn't seem to have enough movement. Sounds like it's only moving a second or a third at most throughout the entire piece.

But, overally, a valiant effort. With some tweaking it could be very good.

BuggMusic responds:

Thanks for the review! Sorry if I hurt your ears lol, my volume is never synced perfectly with FL, so I don't know how loud it is on other computers. The main reason it's a bit simple is because this is a warm-up song, I haven't made anything in ages (bad excuse I know). Hopefully I'll get back into the groove of things!
