Well I certainly like the other version a lot better. That's the one I've been playing in the car for awhile and it's so chill I love it. Wish I could re-review it and rate higher. This one is much of the same, but you've made some pretty significant changes, but I don't really think they sound very good. The other one just had this chill dnb vibe throughout the whole song and this one has some strange noises that just don't really seem to fit that mood.
I like what you did at the very end, but before that I thought it sounded a bit weird. Overall the mix is fantastic. It's a great track, but I prefer the other mix of the song over this one. Nonetheless, keep up the good work!
I'm glad you enjoyed the guitar thing at the end - I wanted to try and give the song a more climactic conclusion, which depending on tastes may clash with the chillness. The other version keeps its flow better - i agree.
More to come soon! Eventually....
Sonic 3 meets Ridge Racer
In my humble opinion, this track would fit perfectly in one of the more recent games of the Ridge Racer series (R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 and up). It wasn't until I heard the middle of this track that I realized that this is a remix of Sonic the Hedgehog 3's IceCap Zone BGMs (Seriously, there are, like, THOUSANDS of fan remixes of those BGMs! Was the music really THAT memorable!?). Well, anyway, I'm sure the musical staffs at Sega and Namco would like this, as do I. Keep up the good work. And as you read this, I haven't heard the original version of this track. Should I?
I suppose from the legion of Ice Cap remixes you can find on NG alone, it WAS that memorable haha. As for listening to the original version, by all means please do! (Not sure if you meant the original as in the actual game soundtrack or the other Flash Frozen - but listen to mine XD)
Anyway, thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it.
