Great song, great truth.

The music gives the game a great atmosphere.
It's so sad ... it's perfect.
I did not know that I would have much meaning, it's great. I really like, not all the same as other songs.

Great audio!

Aside from thinking about what I would do if the world was going to end, I just like to listen and think about, oh, I don't know. Random things I guess.

Anywho, about that school project, could you give me some more detail? That project sounds awesome.

Also, how do you even make music like this? Does it cost a lot of money? I would love you forever if you respond.

darthduba responds:

The concept of the task was writing about your own story of life. You had to write it out, but also make a creative version of it. It could be something visual or a poem or something else. I made a little CD on which every track was a different layer of this specific track. Every layer represented something different in my own story of life.

It goes in more details on the actual task but I'll tell you what the layers represent in short.

1. Long strings - representing people that have influence on me. They are what made me choose my values, such as honesty, respect and freedom of speech an actions.
The chords in the music are the foundation for the rest of the song / story. All the other influences drop within the same chords, just like these people are the foundation for my actions.

2. Percussion - representing my experiences and expectations of life. I hope to have a family, children, a job and a home. I choose simple percussion to represent a guideline that I can follow.

3. Instruments such as piano and square synthesis (positive timbres) - Representing the positive influences on my story. These are friends, school, youth movement, volunteering, etc

4. Bass and out of tune synthesis - representing negative influences such as failures, getting bullied, situations where people that I love get hurt, losing people, etc

5. Fadeout in the end of the song - representing my expectations of the future. The further it goes, the harder it is for me to predict what it will sound like. Near the end it gives the illusion of a room growing bigger, representing it being harder and harder for me to predict what my future life will look like.

6. Full track ( this one ) - representing my full story of life.

And I just make my music in a demo of FL 8

Good Song.....

Hated "One Chance" however - kind of ripped you off ya know? Most "Author Comments" or whatever don't really give you useful tips on a game - most are shout outs or annoying little things, should'a had an in-game warning heh.

As for your song, I love it - it seem's too "loopy" though. Needs more varaity and more length.

Great as it is though.

darthduba responds:

As a track it is to loopy indeed. Although the track is a representation of something else. The full explanation can be read on a comment above this.

The fact that you don't get instructions in the game and don't have a second chance is the point of the game. You don't get any instructions or second chances in life as well. The ending of the game is supposed to make you feel like you screwed it and probably should have made other decisions.

If you would have known that before playing the game, the effect when finished wouldn't be there.
