Ok heres some quick constructive things to take to heart that I noticed.... mostly about the drums, since I'm a drummer myself.
It seemed to me for a lot of the fills, you really just stuck to the snare, to me it was a bit repetitive.. especially for the fill around 1:00 to 1:06, and 2:07 to 2:14 , just do some tom rolls instead of snare rolls.
This could be the same for just some of the drum riffs in general, If the guitar riffs remain the same for a long period of time like around 3:00 til the end... me as a drummer likes to improvise and change things up to make the song more interesting to the listener. Through some random fills in there or change the drum beat a bit, throw in some double bass for the hell of it haha.
Thats my 2 cents.. good song dude, keep it metal
Best criticism i've read yet.
I'm not a drummer, but I wrote the whole drum track in MIDI using Addictive Drums. I'm listening to the song right now, and I didn't realize how much I was actually using the snare. It does sound like i'm overusing it for fills. I'm pretty proud that I wrote that drum track, but it could always use some improving. The more and more I write, the better and more complex they get. So, thank you very much for the feedback. I really do appreciate it.
Reminds me of Dying Fetus brutality meets Shadows Fall's graceful destruction. However, it seems a little lacking in production, the snare sounds a little like a drum machine to me. I don't think it is but it sounds that way. Most garage bands have this type of sound and I think this is a little better than simple garage moshing. Step it up, you have a nice sound and a lot of potential and you deserve all seven stars.
I've never heard of Dying Fetus, and i've heard of Shadow's Fall, but I haven't listened to either one of those bands ever in my life haha and it actually is a drum machine. It's a program called Addictive Drums. I wanna play with the snare more on my next recording. But anyway, thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated.
this is good.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
