This song is for a Clan on the game
www.toribash.com
It's a fun game :)

Their clan story goes like this....
In a world flooded in blood spilt by warriors who each fought for their own intrests, there emerged a group of warriors fighting for sheer enjoyment. They were the most bloodthirsty warriors, killing was almost a game to them. Several names existed to describe them, but the most common and awe-inspiring one was Amatsumi, or translated into english, Heaven's Blade. Led by God and the Devil, they started by scouting for warriors of the highest ranks, endeavoring to redefine the meaning of being a soldier. The hierarchy of the clan began with the "Oshiegos", or Students; who studied to become the "Shunshuu", or the Prodigies; eventually, with time and practice, came the honor of making the rank of the "Tatsujin", or Master. However, for the most excellent in combat, the most bloodthirsty fighters, there existed a higher rank: the "Shishiten". These Four Holy Emperors were the most noble, the most loyal, and the strongest warriors around. One by one, the six major Elements of the world joined in, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Darkness. They furthered Amatsumi's ability to destroy everything in their path and served as special assistants to the Leaders. Ever searching for more brave souls to join their ranks, God, the Devil, and the Elements roamed the world, never ceasing in their search for the best of the best.

But I just said the first 3 lines in this song lol

Reviews

Woah.

This is a great piece even for the likes of you. From intro to outro, this piece is great in most of its aspects. Drums for one, are superb, nice and glitchy with a great rhytm. Melodies are also superb. The atmosphere of the song is very agressive and energetic, which fits in well with the story you wanted to portray. The transitions were sudden and unpredictable, which is great in a fast paced song like this one. Originality, well lets just say that describing this song as original would be an under statement. It was constantly changing, morphing into something new and exciting. I especially love that great speed burst towards the end and that crazy outro. The only thing that bugged me somewhat was the voice. It simply didnt sound epic enough to go with this voice. Id suggest morphing down its pitch so its sounds like one of those voices they use in movie trailers. Other than that, a really great song.

SCORE:
Intro = 2/2
Outro = 2/2
Blend = 1.5/2
Transitions = 3/3
Bass = 1.5/2
Originality = 3/3
Drums = 2/2
Melodies = 3/4
--------------------
Score = 18/20 = 9/10

Note: This is your review from the NGADM Round 1 and as always im posting it here for your convenience.

Can't complain about anything

Holy crap storyline!
First off, I have to give you props on how well mastered this is. So I can't complain about levels.
For instrumentation, you took what you needed and added more to give the song the desired effect, the song certainly wouldn't be the same without the shamisen, which is very distinct throughout the song.
And for the song itself, well it's about a clan of bloodthirsty warriors, and you can definately hear that in this song.
Great work!

LOVE IT!

Had a very asian feel to it, which is freaking awesome in Drum and bass tracks IMO. Idk why, but it almost always turns out epic. I expected it to be a dance/trance like track from the intro synths used from 0:00 to 0:15. The transition from that to the lyrical sample into an ethnic drum an bass track swas buttery smooth and done to perfection. The sounds you used here are great - they mix together well, and on top of that they aren't overused sounds I hear in every other drum and bass track out there. I wanna hear this at a club. Shit would be so cash.

from like 2:58 - the end of the song

is when i thought it was the awesomest.... good job competitor... mine is up now asl well....

holy shit

That is aggressive and energetic. Kinda sounds like Pendulum on speed with a noisier production, almost to the point where it's funny. But it's very cool. I hear a lot of interesting musical ideas. Very diverse song, cool transitions all over the place. Mix wise, it's definitively a bit too heavy in the mid-high range, since almost every instrument is in that range. A possible solution to this is to do a bit of panning work (pan two similar instruments about halfway to each side), that'll clean stuff up a little and lets you hear each element more clearly. Currently the song sounds almost mono.

Anyway definitively a cool song, and I can really hear there's some effort put into it.
