You have it under jazz
And i hear that it has a lot of jazz in it but what you should do is listen to the Beatles.
I have just bought the Beatles remastered box. Before that i had never really had an interest in the Beatles.... but what i have learned is that they experimented like crazy. You wouldn't believe how much this sounds like the Beatles and hey you can get a worse comparison lol!
Listen to Abby road and the white album especially!
5/5 9/10 -1 because i think the freestyle outro deserves to be more on the foreground especially the higher voice that voice needs to be lifted earlier too.

What a great compliment! I am truly honored. When I wrote this I was actually thinking of some of Paul McCartney's 'parlor music,' which is related to jazz and popular music of the late 1800s/early 1900s. I love both Abbey Road and the White Album, though Abbey Road is by far my favorite.

Love the melody. The harmonies are the greatest part of the song. You have a great voice. I like the sparse instrumental arrangement and it works perfectly, however, it might be cool if you experiment with adding to it. Suggestion: some sort of bass line. It has slight traces of a faux-postminimalist feel with the repetitive percussion. Maybe create a repetitive bass line to compliment it, one that doesn't change notes with the chords and maybe sometimes clashes slightly.

Thank you so much. When I wrote this and performed it I had very little access to good software so the texture is actually just a thumb piano that I processed and arranged by manipulating the sound file itself. Necessity is the mother of invention, truly. My more recent stuff is more complex, but sometimes I think that I was more creative when my software and mic sucked.
