A little quiet

Perhaps it is me, but I think that the violin is a little quiet here - messing with the record settings will help you out, if you're trying to get that right. As with that, the acoustics of the room where you are recording probably didn't help - something to bear in mind for next time.

Slow, mournful and a little boring towards the end, I would have said that this needed something else - some backing, possibly from additional strings, or even a piano, organ or percussion accompaniment. If I were to hazard a guess at the accompaniment in percussion, I would suggest the low rumble of the Kettle Drums, which would really add something to the piece.

Monotonous and lack of emotion!

You said in the Review Request Club page to us talk what we think from your first-time playing with violins, so I think it was not so good, looks like a beginner in a violin class, each sound plays like a one per time, is nothing of something playing a thing fast and I can say this because I love to listen to classical or symphonic orchestras, in your title you placed "The Sad Violin", I think "A Sad Violin" could be better, and also, doesn't look like something with emotion, I think you could search in the webpages, for some "sad" kind of classical violin or fiddle songs, you really need to do better with the violin percussion.

Also you could have placed something like a percussion, as a little-sounding expansion bell, or a little drum and such. Maybe add some sounding from a flute would be really better, because the violin playing doesn't have any kind of entonation.

DO THESE UPGRADES:
- Give some kind of entonation and emotion to it really be sad.
- This looks like "The Fly Song"
- Remove these monotonous atmosphere.
- Give it entonation
- Add more instruments

Uhm...

First of all ..
Its pretty difficult to say something good about that.
It doenst sound like a violin at all - there are no dynamics for example.
Let me give you the advice that solo violin plugins never sound good.
Frist of all i would add some harmony instrument to it - so it doenst sound that strange and replace the violin by something else - woodwinds are easier for the plugins to sound more real for example. Or make a whole pianosong with that melody out of it.
Thus - im sorry to say but- there is no emotion and music in this piece.
BUT if you work around with this melody , im sure there is something which can be made out of it. Try something really strange .. clusters or whatever ... make it sound macabre (thats what i feel about the potential of the melody) =)

But at all i can only give a score of 4 and a vote of 2.
