:) Man You could have been the fifth
Beatle! 9/10 5/5
This is another old song I wrote after reading a Neil Gaiman novel, this time "American Gods." Again, I'd love to see a fellow Gaiman fan make a flash from it. Reviews are appreciated, will be reciprocated.
This was recorded under the name Sohanstag. I'm performing all of it.

Haha - I'm not sure where I'd cite an influence for this one...maybe a spiritual meets a 'Devil Went Down to Georgia.' The immediate impetus to make the song was Gaiman, as I said. Thanks!
Well...
I found it hard to understand the voice itself, it was way too quiet with the background being a bit too loud. Maybe if you fixed that I would download and cherish it as much as "Where Are You Going".... As much as you can cherish a song.
Ha - glad to hear you're 'cherishing' my music. That's very flattering, whether tongue-in-cheek or not.
I'm in agreement with you about the mix - unfortunately this is an older song and all I have is the single file, so I can't do much about the balance. Again, though, a valid criticism. I'll keep my ears open in future.
Very entertaining.
I have no point of reference with Neil Gaiman, but can't help drawing comparisons to Danny Elfman's work in Nightmare / Corpse Bride. It's simultaneously eccentric and accessible, and the lyrics are great. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of your stuff, and probably Neil Gaiman as well. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a bunch! I'm glad to hear this turned you on to Gaiman (and my music, too). I'll be giving you a listen as well.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
