A groovy latin-funk made from a background from my friend The-Hobo-Guy, made in roughly 2 hours.
Will think about extending it, based on feedback.

Reviews please, they're the source of my improvement.

Gears used:
-Sibelius 1.4 (Composition)
-Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter (Conversion and Editing)

Hope you enjoy!

Synth Latin

The thing that I'd say that this track really needs is some sharp horns in there, to give it a crisp contrast and really sharpen it up for some of the moves that the dancers can make to this piece. I'd consider throwing in a complete pause, where a singer might yell "HEY!" or something similar, to add to the way that this tune builds itself.

When you get into a rhythm and start progressing with the tune, I was going great until that winding down outro, that kind of went against the grain of the piece, as I felt it. If you had the two note ending, without the way that the tune seemed to run out of power.

Yes, it could stand to be a little longer and lyrics would give it more of a feel of something along the lines of "Copa Cabana", but you've done a good job.

Thanks, great review here, Coop!

The brass you speak of will indeed probably be added once I extend the song. I kind of wanted it to have a cool feeling, whatnot somekind of lounge music, therefor the ending kind of fits.
If I'm going to extend it though, I probably wont keep it at that.

I'd absolutely love putting some lyrics on my songs, but I'm using a notation software, and not something like FL Studio or other things, and therefor can't add tracks over.

I'll do my best to make it better next time!

Niiiiiiiicccceeee Dawg.

The beats and the drums were I think the best part of this song and would be very suiting for a video game, maybe a forest level. Just saying. The beats were nice and the keyboard was awesome, coming in with a whole different thing. Very unique, and all made on 2 hours. Great use of your time I would say. I think it needs more beats to it and maybe longer because some of it seemed very empty in a way.

I think the bass line at the beginning was a very great way to start it then gradually going up in instruments oh so normally. Overall, it's great and deserves more attention maybe for just a 2 minute song or beat. I say to extend it and use rhythm and beat to mix it up! Nice work.

Great comment, I like!

Happy to see you enjoy. I should probably extend it one day, seeing how much good feedback I got out of it!

Very nice beat

This sounds like a classy latin beat to be honest.

Drums: I enjoy the small hi hats played from time to time and how it sticks with a smooth playing and repetition of itself as well.

Keyboard: I'm pretty sure it's a keyboard I'm hearing and it sounds jazzy and classy at the same time, very nice job on that.

Overall: A very good piece of music that you have written.

Thanks alot for the review!

Yeah, that's a keyboard! It is indeed, quite jazzy.

Not bad

It's not a bad track at all really, not really my style at all, but it does sound quite latin and relaxing. I kinda picture myself wearing a sombrero and looking over at a good looking mexican chick, raising my eyebrows at her, and then starting to salsa dance or something.

Sounds very pleasant indeed, and I don't really have much criticism for it. All the sounds blend together in a calming latin-jazz mix and it sounds good and totally conveys what you were aiming for.

The ending was a great touch in my opinion. Keep up the good work.

camoshark responds:

Thanks for the review, and for the image lol!

Can't really give any feedback though, so I'll leave it at that!!

Definitely groovy!

Wow, catchy tune here! It sounds like it could be lounge music for a bar. Not a bad thing at all though! I like it a lot... most definitely. :) Short, but sweet. Not too much going on, but that's the purpose of what would be lounge music, in my sense. And it also ends on a good note like it was realistic. Great job! Adding to favorites. :D

camoshark responds:

Thanks! :D
