part of a video game im making with monkeyv

its all midi

when i wrote the beginning i was thinking four part harmony, but i only wrote 2 parts, the melody, which is in the would be soprano voice and the chord roots which is in the would be bass voice.

i start off in F# minor (aeolian) and change modes to A major (ionian) and used a pop progression (I V vi IV) then change modes again to C# phrygian (minor with a flat 2nd) then change modes back to F# minor (aeolian) and used a flamenco progression (I VII VI V).

then i took a more modal approach and change keys to F# phrygian (minor with a flat 2nd) and add drums then i play triplets (fithlets in the drums) then i change keys back to F# minor (aeolian) this introduces the loop.

the loop starts when it starts playing power chords then i change the key to F# locrian (minor with a flat 2nd and a diminished 5th) the melody (guitar) is playing by its self then when it modulates to E locrian (minor with a flat 2nd and a diminished 5th) the bass and drums will come in, then it will modulate back to F# locrian (minor with a flat 2nd and a diminished 5th) but it will have the bass and drums this time, then it will go back to E locrian (minor with a flat 2nd and a diminished 5th) once more and then it will go back to F# minor (aeolian) where it loops.

i had it loop four times in the midi its self but after that fourth loop newgrounds won loop it properly so it will just go back to the beginning. (obviously)
