The picture I had in mind while making this was kinda muddy, as usual, but I think it's set in the 15th century, during the age of discovery. Somewhere, a young explorer is embarking on an adventure that will change his life. His voyage is long and mundane, there isn't much to look at on the open sea, but one night an unforseen storm hits his carrack. Our adventurer fights to reduce sails, but the storm is heavy and the waves are higher and more fierce than he had ever imagined. He fights for his life, but is at the mercy of the sea.

Finally, the sea calms down. Land is in sight. It is a beautiful uncharted island, filled with life. But our hero doesn't see it. He was strong, but the storm stronger, and now his ship lies shattered over a nearby reef. His final adventure.

Kinda muddy picture, I'm sure I even imagined pirates and trade routes and stuff, but I couldn't see how it would fit in. Also sorry for the uninspired ending :P

The project took ~3,5 hours to complete, which is nothing unusual, but I feel like I want it written down this time for some reason.

Anyway, 3,5 hours are not enough to make a masterpiece, but still I am very satisfied with the result, despite of all it's little faults. Like the lack of percussion, wind instruments, variation in the bass, the "muddiness" of some parts, etc. I might patch it up someday, but today I've had enough seafaring adventures in my mind =P

UPDATE(2010-08-11): Changed two notes at the end. Played loudly by the french horn, they were like a wart that called for removal.
