Im not sure what software you are using for this, but try to do more with the dynamics. It really adds life to the song (ie: crescendos and forte/pianos) and falls at the end of the notes (I cant explain where with a review, but a recording of the band playing it will clear it up). Overall though this song is coming along great :)
*Pulls out a drunken Sean Connery impression* Hey there Shmexy, thanks for taking the time to write this review, much appreciated! ^^
As for the software, as is written in the author comments, I used a program from the mid-90's called Sibelius 1.4, which didn't have capabilities for advanced dynamic notation like falls or inflections of any type, although I had notated them.
This was mostly a study in arrangement and transcription more than a cover, so take the actual interpretation with a grain of salt! :P
Anyways, for 18 hours of work 5 years ago, I'm still pretty happy with the results, even though it's obviously so 90's anybody who's listened to the original is sobbing upon hearing this...
So yeah, thanks for taking me back to that far away, I'm still hardly recovering from the fact that this was written half a decade ago! :O I'd highly suggest that you check out my later work though, if you want a better representation of my current capabilities.
You're a legend
Well thanks, lol, I wasn't really expecting such good comments! Are you sure you know I didn't make this piece?
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
