2010 - Just your basic loop practice.

I got pretty stoked on a couple of the harmonies I pulled out of it so I kind of went with that.

Added more and more layers until I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to make the whole song one really long loop, so I wrapped the remainder.

Hope you like it :]

and ill rate it 8/10

BAZmotherfucker responds:

That's fair, I'd say that's about how much effort I put into this one ;] I try to keep pretty progressive with most of my songs but every once in a while I break it down with something simpler like this, and it always surprises me when people like it.

Snap diggity Dog

Well at the beginning it sounded nice and calm like that would probably be the type of music that I would like to hear if I was chilling in a hot tub. It started getting a little more fast paced then before. I prefer that better but it would not be what I want to listen to in a hot tub.

I liked where more rhythms and beats and all that jazz were getting added. It slowly changed throughout the song and you couldn't really notice until the end or if you listened really closely. That part I was more into than the beginning. I would probably like to hear this on a car ride through the rain.

Then the song started slowing down to a good pace. The nice solid smooth ending was great. The perfect way to end a song.

The song did good overall. I wouldn't mind listening to this for awhile.

BAZmotherfucker responds:

Install a hot tub into your car, and then ride around in the rain while bumping this song ;]

Hardly just "basic loop practice"!

Wow, I really like it. You've managed to make something really mellow which is a real achievement at that tempo!
The synthlines are just lovely, and you've kept the drums simple enough for you to be able to focus on the melody.
The hats almost get a bit much but then the whole thing breaks down completely and it works really well apart from that one bit where the bass drum just donks all over it.

Good work.

Why thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :]

Good

Well, the loop sounds great, and everything is blended together very well. It doesn't really stand out to me as an extraordinary track, but I can see that you obviously have a lot of potential here. I like some of the sounds you used a lot, others not so much, and maybe it's because I grew out of the techno stage and branched out into more of a chill electronic genre. Hell, could be because I'm half asleep, not sure. Either way, keep up the good work, you've got a lot of potential.

BAZmotherfucker responds:

Potential. Word. Can't really say I was going for something extraordinary, I probably put the least effort into this one out of all my tracks. Chill electronic stuff is dope though, I keep wanting to make some more trippy dub... You might enjoy my trippy lemonade dub. But you might not like the synths in it. Wow. I'm half asleep here too to tell you the truth. Keep up the good reviews, SeeD419 (ff8 reference / 1 number short of 420??)

Btw, couldn't help but notice that you have Aphex Twin's logo as your icon and that you quote Richard D. James in your profile. That kinda makes you my hero.

Not bad.

For an amateur techno producer, this is quite good. Nothing is too repetitive. It sounds like you've done a song like JasonC, another fruity loops producer, he had some projects in FL 5.

This song has so much potential, you have no idea. All you really need to do is clear up the mix, add better synths, add some bass and possibly add different chord progression/arrangements to really make this a good song.

Nice work for just a practice run, this could really be made into something awesome. Send me a link in a PM when you have more stuff up, I'm looking forward for more of your stuff :)
