Hill Top Course music remix from Sonic Drift 2 (Game Gear). I loved the music in that game despite the game being so offbeat. This remix helped me write unique drum riffs and practice other things. I thought about using it for NASF 2 but I'm sticking closer to original game sound.
No midis used. Recomposed by ear, then I took it from there.
Enjoy folks.

~~REVIEW~~
This was a good tune here starts off really good and fast paced, props to you on the {PIANO} very good quality, very sharp and clear and i was really enjoying this ones, not much of a gap at the end so you know where it starts and ends, its very good stuff, as for improving i honestly would leave this as is, its a good piece, so hope to hear more from you soon, untill next time good luck on anything new you got comming up.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~

Short-Factor responds:

Thank you, that was a nice review. Although you suggested it was perfect and yet gave it a 7..?

Very nice

This was a lot of fun to listen to because it had a very casual feeling going for it. I did not even recognize it as being "Sonic The Hedgehog" music at first, but it did seem familiar. I am not sure how it took me this long to review something this old for you. The thing I liked most about how it was how it had a very uplifting feeling to it. It is the kind of music that you want to hear in a light-hearted video game, even in Mario. The use of instruments was very stylistic, unless of course you did not use any of your own.

Short-Factor responds:

I created all the sound you hear, except for the piano samples, and the percussion is a hybrid of my sounds and other samples.

Nice!

You did a good job on this. I especially like the instrumentation.

My only complaint is that the piano part in the middle should've been longer - but only because it was so great.

Short-Factor responds:

You think? I thought the piano section was adequate length compared to the rest of the song, given the whole song is fairly short. I'll keep that in mind.

Great job recomposing!

Recomposing is one of those tricks that one has to learn through practice and experience, not through any guide or class. You did a good job and kept it flowing, even the ending was good. I've tried and played around with chords I have taken from compositions and such... what do you use for your samples, Soundfonts? VST? They sound pretty nice.

Short-Factor responds:

Custom synths, some custom samples, and a little bit of soundfonts. I also like taking apart drum riffs by slicing and reinventing percussion sounds. I did that somewhat for the drums in this.
