All the metal gear songs are in here!
Well, the writing portion of this medley is done, at least. No, this is NOT how the official work is going to sound -- I've got friends lined up to record each and every part of this medley and I'm getting their parts in as fast as I can. I hope to get this finished by the end of the summer, and then we'll see about S-E-P-H-I-R-O-T-H!
Anywho, here's the arrangement and some factoids about the mix:
SONGS ARRANGED IN THE MEDLEY:
-"The Best is Yet to Come" from Metal Gear Solid
-"Operation: Intrude N313" from Metal Gear (missing a Codec bleep to transition out; drum solo emulating opening text from Metal Gear)
-"Theme of TARA (Outer Heaven 1F)" from Metal Gear
-"RED ALERT!" from Metal Gear
-"Theme of Solid Snake" from Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
-"Metal Gear Solid Main Theme" from Metal Gear Solid (with a transition from the MGS2 theme and a drum solo; missing Snake death rattle)
-"Just Another Dead Solider" from Metal Gear
Length: 7'14"
Soundfonts Used:
-Studio FG460s II Pro Guitar -- Filtered Wild
-Steve's Les Paul -- Guitar Dist - LPH1
-Bass Fingered SC88
-Bass Serrano Arial ProII Fretless Slap
-Trumpet Melodic
-Trombone Old Slider
-Tuba (36KB)
-Piano Florestan Bright Grand
-Yamaha Custom Drums -- Stick Maple On
-SGM-V2.01 - Acoustic Kit 1
-Xylophone (1,650KB) -- Vibes Tremolo
-Sax Alto (12,373KB) -- Alto Sax Soft
-Sax Tenor Breathy (2,122KB) -- Breathy Sax
I didn't do much in the way of mixing, though I probably should have. Some of the sections need quite a bit of it, but I'd rather hold off on that until I have all the recordings completed.
Expect more teasers like this to come! They'll be more like my previous submission -- a piece from the medley, likely styled differently from both the original and the medley.
Anyway, thanks for listening. A review would be appreciated. :D

All the metal gear songs are in here!
Time and interest constraints have reduced me to picking a select few (namely, the ones used for MGS's VR Training modes, the main theme from Metal Gear 2, and the main theme from MGS), but I picked what I felt would mesh together best. Still, I like where the writing is at and hope I can get the standard notation transcriptions done by summer's end so that my players can get their parts learned.
Thanks for your review. :)
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
