I call this a Techno-Opera with extreme classic groove overtones. Its a techno track with a old soul. I've been working on this track for the last year on and off, trying to sweeten this thing just right without going into sugar shock. I like ending a track with a heavy groove, and drop it off suddenly. I like when music lets you know when its done right away so you can start a applause and reflect on what you just heard.
I have been working tirelessly on words for this thing. Also, it was heavily inspired by the video game Castlevainia (I took a break, played a game called Symphony of the Night, awesome music, by the way).
It will be first person narritive singing with a couple bits of spoken dialog done hopefully by a couple of very good voice over artists. I plan on singing, but I am open to have a female cohort to join me in this story.
So, its a lot to juggle, it could work, but it may fall short very rapidly. But I do plan on compleating this thing. It may be too full of a track to record some electric guitar riffs (maybe ultra light guitar overtones. . . maybe).
So here is the story of this song.
Its about a hero saving the world from the dark power of Dracula. Basically, thats the jist of it. Very similar to Castlevania's premise, but a totally unique story.
Also, it is very difficult to write without making it sound too cheezy, so I will try to take a elegant, but powerful stance. Think 17th century, and the art of finely honed skills. So the lyrics will sound elitist, but purly farcsicle and light hearted fun.
So, I hope you all download it. But more importantly, if you like it, please, let me know. Also open to honest, well thought out critique.
Oh, and one last thing, if anybody wants the mixer tracks to this song, I'd be happy to send you the whole project and let someone fiddle with it. Of course, all I'd expect in return is the retaining of the name, and a credit. Nothing more, nothing less.
