What is RAC?

COPY PASTA FROM NEONPROJECT

Represent a Country is a series of Audio contests on Newgrounds hosted by (NeonProject). The aim of the contest is for each participant to represent a country of their choice and submit an original and entertaining piece of music. Participants who take part in the contest go on to become well known across the Audio part of Newgrounds, artists such as LK412 and Chungstarr have gone on to develop further sucess after taking part in the contest. The contest has not only become a celebration of world culture, but has also become a huge celebration of the audio portal artists. The contest is open to anyone in the audio forum, whether it's newcomers, well known Newground artists or the contests own veteran artists. For the first time the contest will be inviting participants from two sites!

I chose Russia again because I know I could have done better last time. This one is influence by classical Russian folk songs, and mixed with my own style. This is actually the last two movements in my Guitar Suite No. 2 - Russia and it kills me to cut the other movements, but the last two are the most important I think.

Well, here it is

EDIT: My new Cd has just been released, and this song is featured in it. Check out my news post http://darkmaster603.newg rounds.com/news/post/4757 81

mmyess bravo

i like it! it gets just a bit repetitive here and there, not that repetition is a bad thing, particularly in this style of music, but instead of repeating once or twice, you repeated a measure or two 3 or 4 times which does get a bit irritating..

other than that small problem, which is minuscule at best, you've done an outstanding job at evoking emotion from instruments alone, so again i say bravo ^^

Darkmaster603 responds:

Yea, I blame it on lazy writing. This was one of my earlier works so I kind of cringe at it now lol. I have a cleaned up version that I play now, maybe I'll record it and put it online.

Just.....wow

Two of my cousins have a musical background, my oldest is the drummer touring with broken bells. The other is a backup singer with Alicia Keyes. This is a thousand times more musically stimulating and thought provoking than anything they have ever done in their careers. I'd say good luck in the future, but it's one hundred percent obvious that you are going to go to great places if you choose to do music for the rest of your life.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Ha, Thank you. That's very kind of you to say.

russian?omg..

you choose the rite theme mate, is it me, or this song is complex? just like most russian piece.. complex, not practical yet beautiful and absorbing.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Ha, thanks! I get a lot of inspiration from russian folk music and a classical guitar composer named Alex Chudnovsky on youtube. This song is pretty complex, the whole suite is about 12 pages long and varies time signatures and tempos.

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it!

o%u0442%u043B%u0438%u0447%u043D%u043E!

If I didn't know any better, I would think that this is a very old well-known Russian folk-song. Hmm I wonder what this would sound like as a guitar mandolin duet...
Excellent. I think this might actually get first place!

Darkmaster603 responds:

ha, That would be great! I got last place last time I entered, so it would be almost an underdog kind of thing lol. I actually think japan has a really good, almost 100%, chance of winning though. I wouldn't mind using some old Russian guitars, but the guitar is a pretty traditional Russian instrument so it's good enough for me. There are entries that I think did awesome, and will most likely get first place.

I think everyone did an amazing job though (I really liked your piece, very well done!) so we should all feel we accomplished something.

Brillitant,prodigy in work

You sir are a amazing music creator the base is quite romantic yet has that feeling of cold winters and mystery The unknown so to speak. ery deep i meaning and sort of bouncy yet still retains that sense of mystery

Darkmaster603 responds:

You're too kind!

Thank you for the compliment, and the review.
