This, quite simply, stuck with me.
I listened to this, and shortly afterwards, couldn't help but think about it. It really does sound like something from a dream, and was really ambient and nice. I imagined it with different drums, but it really has the right feel to it. I look forward to more from you. Collab?
I give it a solid 8. The atmosphere is very well crafted. I love the reverbed piano. Nice pads too, except you might want to make the attack on your main pad a bit less sharp. The beginning of your pad sound is 'hitting' rather than 'flowing.' But it still sounds nice. Good chords. The bass is good, maybe it could have been low passed to cut off a bit of its edge, but it's not bad.
The drums are most certainly not too slow for a drum & bass song. I've heard drum & bass songs at this tempo before; your rhythm is just different, and that makes the drums sound slower, but that adds to the nice flowing feeling of the song. The drums and the bass don't need to play together all the time either, just do what feels and sounds right to you. A note about your drums, however, the kick drum/bass drum is too low - when it plays together with the bass, I don't really notice when it hits.
Good job though, it was really chilled and nice. Reminded me of Commix a bit.
5/5 to help put it above the other junk in the portal
No reviews?! Bullsh!t
It needs one.
Melody: 2/2- I thought synth pads could never do the job. I was wrong. Piano rocked too.
Bass: 2/2- Good, i wouldn't have used that instrument for it
Drums: 1/2- For a DnB song, they were too slow. Even if the song's mood is slow, DnB drums are always fast. And the drums and bass need to play together at all times. Trust me, it will help a lot.
Instruments Used: 2/2- I liked the pads and the piano. The bass might need to be changed, but its not that bad.
Mood: 2/2- Really felt like a dream.
OVERALL: 9/10- A few minor edits and it's perfect
