This is the final version of "Beat of the Brain". I sent the file to one of my idols, Alexander Stover (aka "Binearpilot" and he sent me back some good critiques for improvement. Most notably a bassline that worked. To have someone who I've been jammin to for close to 7 years now have any kind of input that had an impact on the final product is a great feeling, and many many thanks go out to him.
This is easily my favorite song so far. If you don't think so, please leave a review and tell me why.
http://binaerpilot.no/ <--- Alex's website, where you can torrent EVERYTHING he's ever made. It's all free, he just asks that you spread the word and "Destroy The Popollution". Check it out, it's great stuff.

I don't know what genre this belongs in, so I put it in the misc bin.

Nice job.

love it

I really love this and I hope you like the video I made with it

Chiptunes are the best thing.
I can't believe they don't have a genre here for 'em!

Mucky88 responds:

Yeah, it's a pretty niche style. But I think NG should update the Audio Portal to accommodate seeing as how I never know where I should put my music. Most of the time it ends up in Techno, even if I don't agree with that particular label.

I really love this song, those really short ticks(forgot what they're called, but I'm sure you know what I mean) and it has a nice melody and beat to it mate
great job!

Mucky88 responds:

Thanks alot, I'm glad you gave it a chance. Some people complain about the intro, but I think it lures you in, tricks you, and blows you off your ass. I'm a fan of this one myself if you can't tell, lol.

This sounds like something that would be in a game

...That Treasure made(e.g. Mischief Makers(N64)).

Which means I love the fuck out of this, because the music they make for their games is awesome. It also reminds me of Flat Zone from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

5/5, 10/10. Cannot stop listening to this.

Mucky88 responds:

Wow, thank you. If you like this song, you should check out "Cardboard Rock". I'm not sure what to call my style, but I'm glad you like it. Spread it around, show your friends, and dance like noone is watching.
