Simply beautiful. A now favorite of mine!
The neo-classical feeling puts in mind of Nox Arcana....
Heavy Metal doesn't feel like a good genre to put it in, but it feels far too heavy for the Classical genre. No others are very close at all in their characterizations.
Here you go, enjoy! It takes a little while to kick in but is more aggressive than my last submission, 'From The Womb', which garnered only a mild response.
EDIT: You can download the whole album through http://hend.bandcamp.com/
album/counterpart as MegaUpload is cranky and on the fritz half the time with the download. Or stream it on Grooveshark (search for Hend). Thanks to all of you positive voters and people willing to give it a listen - as for the zero-bombers, at least leave a review of why you don't like it!

I'm glad you enjoyed it and favorited it. I've never actually listened to Nox Arcana, only heard of them. I think I'll have to check them out now! :)
Pretty Good
Doesn't really sound like metal though
Would do well as an album intro
My only complaint is that the quarter notes keep dying out during the chorus. It's best to use whole notes in place of repeating quarter notes. It would probably do better in classical, unless you had electrical guitars going. It sounds pretty good, other than that. Good work!
Indeed the notes do die out but I thought it gave a nice 'oomph' to the rhythm during that section. I also wondered how it would fare in Classical but found most of the stuff there was significantly softer than this. It might be considered too 'heavy' or too 'rock' for there, but I could be way off, heh.
Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you liked it! :)
Took awhile..
In my opinion it took too long for the song to really kick in. I liked the intro but I didn't want to hear just the intro for that long. (1:17 to be exact) The quality is pretty good, and I like the song overall. I agree that it may not belong in Heavy Metal, but hey, whatchya gonna do right? Nice job!
4/5
