Heavy 1

So if anyone read my latest blog post (which I kinda doubt, but you can find it here: http://pure-metal-uta.new grounds.com/news/post/465 851), I have decided to instead of trying to gain exposure, start writing music for the artists on here.
This will be the first of many, so I titled it Heavy 1. This doesn't really have much progression to it, it's just a few riffs that can each be used seperately as loops.

WHICH bring me to the point at hand. IF you like this, and want to use it. Feel free, just be sure to PM me saying you are.
If you want a specific part of it, or any parts edited for it, PM me requesting this, and I will do so ASAP.

Reviews are also useful, obviously, so be sure to review!

Cool man.

Wish the guitars were a bit louder, but its still a fucking cool, evil sounding track.

The stock drums on EZ are pretty recognizable. If you open the mixer on EZ, and choose the "dry" selection, you'll have a lot more beef to play with and eq to your liking.

Anyhoo...sweet track man. After I get done releasing my album stuff here, I'd like to get into helping more flash guys. I think that would be fun as fuck.

5 for joo.

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

So using the dry setting turns off the room mic and the bleed control for the overhead (Just checked it out) So I'm guessing that the bleed control makes it easier to hear the rest of the drums, where with bleed control on, it only detects the cymbals; thus giving it more beef, right?

I'm glad you liked it though! Regarding the flash, I feel that it would be a good idea to look around the AF for people looking for songs for their flashes, then make a song to their liking. Although lots of people posting their songs on that thread for the specific game/flash gives variety, it's always best to give them exactly what they want. That's what I've gotten out of this anyways, I'm just starting to do this.

Thanks for the review! That EZD info is really useful!

Shows Promise

This is not bad at all. Here are the only problems I have with it: No vocals, it's short, and the mix isn't very good. The drums also were kind of strange sounding to me, but blah, you know? But really, the mix is the biggest problem. You can barely hear the riffing because the drums are too loud, and I thought I heard a solo in there, but it was so buried in the mix I couldn't tell. With proper production, this could be a great little number. What do you use for recording?

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

The shitty EQing is my bad, not my equipment's. For some reason everything I tried didn't sound right, and this was the only thing remotely close to sounding right... Then again, I did finish this really late at night, so being tired could have had a part in it.
There's no vocals in it so that flash artists have some instrumentals to use in their games or movies, that's also why it's short.
I'll probably start to fix the EQ shortly, but I probably won't finish fixing it until tomorrow.
Thanks for the review, it was really useful!

Oh hey, forgot to mention what I use for recording.
My DI Box is a Tascam US-144
Reaper is my DAW
I used my Jackson RR3 to record the guitars
DSK Bass for the Bass
and EZDrummer DFH for the drums
