Maybe you should add high-pitched piano (honky tonk?) that just mess around the chords.

Meh-ish
The problem lies in the drop off that would be where you stop to put it in a loop sequence. The that feeling of wanting the song to loop is missing. I think it's just not... can't say loud... but its definitely too quiet and possibly might want a better instrument for it. Listening to this, I think there was a reason they used a sound that sounded like a Tom-tom(?) drum in the original. Obviously you got to use something else for this to be a remix of any sort, but try and find something around it. That and make some changes to this thing.

it was pretty nice ;)
the only thing is the beat and rythym is kinda the same throughout the song. Try and add a chorus in the middle then it will be better ;)
