Well, it's been a few weeks but I'm back! :)

I've been super busy learning Propellerheads' new software, Record, and how to get the most out of it. Ended up having to go out and buy a new computer just so I could use it. :P My shitty lil' laptop couldn't run the damn thing. Lol. :D

Anyways, I've been eagerly lapping up everything regarding Record and how to translate my Reason knowledge into Record and it's been quite succesful. It was a bit of a struggle at first as it just seemed like there was -so- much more to know, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I would -absolutely- recommend Record+Reason to anyone out there. If you just want to play or if you're a serious professional musician, this combo is superb.

As usual, please rate / review / enjoy!

This is such a well made track. Can't wait to hear the next one. Also I was about to move into Reason myself but none of the reverb plugins work :/

durn responds:

Eh? Reason doesn't have any plug-ins. Were you applying the reverb in a send fx or directly to the synth you were using?

I can guarantee you that reverb works fine in Reason, just have to know how to wire it up. Send me a PM and I'll toss you my reason template file if you want. :)

Sweet song

Love the bass lines, the drums and the flange sounding synth

durn responds:

ya, that flange sound was a clav synth I was using. the combination filter on it gives it a really unique range when automating. :) thanks for the listen and the review, Donuts! :)

Good sandwich making music

The other day I was listening to your tune while making a sandwich and I gotta say, best damn sandwich I've ever made! The lettuce was crisp, tomatoes juicy, and the meat and cheese didn't stick together like they normally do. Perfection!

Now I'm not saying your song directly improved my sandwich making abilities, but I won't rule it out either, I was even surprised myself when I was done.

That's why I've gone ahead and made a mix tape of all your tunes for this week so I can test out my theory while making my lunches. So keep making good tunes, and hopefully I'll keep making good sandwiches.

cheers man

durn responds:

it's all the years I spent working as a sandwich artist at Subway. it infuses everything I do with a certain lettuce-like crispness that ends up translating into the listener's sandwich-making movements.

I've been considering approaching Subway to play my music in all their stores, I think they'd finally have a nation-wide consistency in sandwich goodness were that to happen.

thanks for giving me the courage to take this big leap. ;)

Nice! :D

A little repetitive, but it's well written and constructed. Good job!

durn responds:

thanks peanutfoot! :) I used a fair bit of automation to keep things interesting but I guess I coulda done a bit more then, eh. :D thanks for the review!

I got your message!

Perhaps you could improve upon the trance formula some.

durn responds:

I'm not sure I'm understanding you - improve how I approach trance, you mean? Yeah, I'm too lazy to study and stick to other people's formulas. I'd rather just experiment and have fun. :)
