Made this a couple of months ago for Quarl's Drum and piano competition. I've Since come to hate it and was gonna remake it. Then realized the deadline is today >.<

Anyway, purely drums and piano. The wierd harmonic bits are a piano put through a load of effects.

You're my new favorite NG artist

i just wanted to say that. Man, you're stuff is great. It's very artistic, and I dig it a hell of a lot. I really don't know what else to say. This stuff is great. I've been told by a lot of people that my stuff blows them away because of the artistry; well, you're that kind of artist to me. The piano melody is absolutely beautiful, and the drumming was very nice. I think the thing that struck the deepest chord in me was the ambience. I've always wanted to make a track that exhibited a cool harmonic portion like this. It reminds me of the closure to August Burns Red's track, "Redemption," with the guitars (go check it out to see what I the VERY's similar to that work that you did with the piano). Something else that really caught my attention is how this piece is so suggestive of a few different genres. I hear dubstep, metal, classical, DnB, and new age -- all tied into one moving package. Very cool. Keep up the great work my friend, I can't wait to see your tracks at the very top, where they deserve to be! =)

the quick drums are what made me really love this song.
the piano is also very nice.
good composition, but the quick snare(?) was the icing on the cake.

Ace comp entry. Now that it's all over I'd like to state why I think your piece did so well with the judges.

While I gave people the option to use additional voices, aside from the pad that opens and ends the track most of the focus is really just the drums and the piano. You didn't even effect much of those sounds. I heard a little delay on the drums towards the end of their section and there was some reverb on everything but the effects are never really the focus. You managed to create so much tension using so little. The elements you chose to use managed to convince each judge that you had a place amongst all of their top picks. I'll be honest, this track wasn't my number one pick but I'm still really glad it won. Your track was the only track that each judge consistently considered amongst their top five picks.

Congratz enzoa. You made art :)
