i am 14 and i don't know anything about jazz so please rate and review!!!!!!!

Truly great

This just needs more depth, it's more of a Muzak type deal. No offense there. It just needs something more than a solo. but you do say it's a sample, so there is great potental here. I'd say that if something about the same softness of the beat can lead into this and then put a little bit more power in the outtro, it'll be a 10. Very nice.

that was really good!

It was really, really, really, really good. The only thing that bothered me is that i'm not a huge xylophone fan, maybe some smooth sax, but you're the genius, not me. Keep the good stuff coming, have a nice day sir, you deserve it!

Tombor911 responds:

thank you!

this belongs in a cartoon

An older one; you know-- Pink Panther/ Looney Toons Jazz Short-- back when cartoons had actual violence and didn't rot the minds of the good willed with words of friendship and how everyone is equal (communism-- not that I'm against communism, I just think it funny how so many people in the U.S. hate communism yet they force complete friendship and equality on everyone-- soon well be screaming comrade... that would be cool... nvm I'm just mindlessly ranting don't read anymore of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Tombor911 responds:

Hahahaha thank you very much I am glad you like it. =)

Where's the head?

To me this feels like a very well executed solo section with no actual song. I think before you start thinking "bridge? solo?" you need a stronger melodic statement to begin with. If you listen to old Charlie Parker tunes for example, you can hear a definite musical theme presented before this kind of "break into the solo" thing you start out with. There's a lot going for this track though: nice voicing in the piano and sweet drum programming. Seems like you know more about jazz than you give yourself credit for. (Assuming you're not just using pre-made loops?) Nice work!
