Song kinda switches from a french-esque house style to a chicago-esque house lol. Oh well :)

A litlle repetitive...

But it's still nice to listen, I kind of liked it, since the song has a nice beat to dance, I really liked the beat, but you repeated it too much!! The drums are pretty fine, too, they variated a lot and it fitted really well with the main beat, I really liked the way you builded the song...

The variations are very cool, you kind of entertained me, but there was few changes during those 2:46 minutes... But, I'm not going to lie, the song was pretty cool, and I'm pretty sure you can make a longer one...

Anyways, the song was cool, great concept too bad the song is very short and with few variations, but you still made a nice song, you have potential, so, keep it up!!

I didn't know what the difference was between French house and Chicago house before listening to this...and after having listened to it, was really none the wiser. Maybe it's just me, but both "styles" sounded exactly the same, to the point where I couldn't really tell where the transition took place. If there is a difference between French and Chicagoan house, I think it could have standed to be exaggerated a lot more than it was here, so even n00bs to House music would have some idea of what was going on.

The synths you have are all nicely chosen and nicely implemented, there's a definite high production value in terms of sound quality. What they're playing is also nice; there's some good melodies and automations, but as the piece gets longer these things definitely et more repetitive; maybe it's because I missed the transitions of styles, but the entire thing kind of felt like it started somewhere...and didn't move from that place at all. There was some definite scope to go on more of a journey with this track, and I think it was something of a missed opportunity to do something more, because what you have at the moment is good...just needs a little extra to keep the variety up to that same high level as the production of this is.

As for chicago house, its darker. French is more ambient and happy-esque. The transition is hard to spot for noobs because I didnt change instrumentation. But the bridge is written in chicago.

As for your second part - thats what house IS. reptititve dancing material.

A little repetitive

Generally, the feeling is that transitions are supposed to take the track to a new place, as opposed to bridging between two periods of very similar music. For example, your first bridge led from tune [A] to tune [A]. Exactly the same, rendering the hard work of the bridge completely useless. You wouldn't leave your front door, walk around the block and back in through the front door just to go from the kitchen and back, would you?

In short, this requires a lot more variation, from the bassline, to the more dynamic parts of the track. Start throwing more instruments in and giving yourself a fighting chance of taking this track elsewhere.

I'll admit I dont like this song much, but chicago house doesnt ever change key, nor does any house other than progressive.

Thanks though!

nice gaps

This was notbad, i liked the gaps that held the song for a second then continued on, kinda gave it a good feel for what was next, it was a slow to med fast paced song that was ok, nice job though, maybe add some more mixes in the backround to give it that faster feel

It needs a faster feel add some other mixes of sounds, as explained above

shesmackshard responds:

House is 128 BPM standard. This is not a good suggestion, its all personal preference. Thanks though

Really good but...

The whole song sounded sort of like it was leading into something, like an intro. I think it would fit perfectly if you expanded more towards the end into a more fuller sound with bass and whatnot. I can actually imagine the tune in my head haha.
Good job nonetheless though.
