The past day, me and a friend have been randomly goofing around. This is more or less what we came up with. We haven't really been focusing much on mastering, but I don't think it sounds so awful. The 'first version' had a pretty shitty ending, we fixed that along with some other stuff. Leave a comment, and if you want to, some technical suggestions etc, etc. Thanks~

It's more like v2.0.1, but I changed the lead synth to something more fitting, but it might have been somewhat overdone. There are also some details added here and there.

Sweet

Pretty good. The first time I listened to it I thought that the sound at 0:55 probably could've been slightly lower in volume. since it caught me off guard and the song was still building up or what not. Also the transition around 2:35-2:38 confused me too, since it seemed like it was slowing but picked up again. But now that I listened to it a few times those parts don't seem weird any more. I liked the intro though. Also the song itself sounds a lot like the type of music you'd hear in one of those demoscene intros. I can imagine seeing a sweet 3D animation while listening to this in a 64kb exe file. So that was pretty nice.

Thanks for your thoughts, I know the mix has some issues with transitions, they end up being just slightly too loud and especially the one you mention at 0:55 is because the 'glitching' is done by an FX channel instead of a midi sequence (which most likely would be the best idea and give me a bit more control). I think that's why the samples ended up ever so slightly on top of each other and made it sound louder than the rest. I do have a fourth version on mp3 lying around, but I never got around to upload it here. The mastering is slightly better (even though I would like to do more), and the lead synth has been changed once again. I lost the project file in a badly planned format, so I can't really fix up on it more than I have. :p

Hard to get past the intro but...

Wow. I really love this. The only suggestion I have is to get rid of the amount of "squaring" in the intro. The drums are very complex, and the amount of work put in here is noticeable. Good job, and keep it up.

5/10 - New favorite

Thanks! I kinda like the intro as it is. It was less 'dirty' to begin with, but I felt like modding it to sound a bit more.. 8bit'ish. This is actually my first proper drum n bass piece made. It gave me some taste for more. :D
