I sat down this morning in college, imagining that I was somewhere calmer and quieter, this piece popped into my head. When I listen to it I can imagine myself in the same place as when I got the idea. I'm not too good at these descriptions :) Enjoy and let me know what you think :)

I have updated this version, edited the piano parts and the strings a bit more and changed the vocals at the end! :D

This is wonderful! If I asked to play a melodic acoustic piece to go along with this, would you accept? If not, it's alright. I would just love to feel the vibes to this piece and ride the wave of music and soul. Let me know! Thanks :)

Syntrus's Review

First of all thanks for the review. On to the song. This is a rather nice warm flowing piece with some really nice instruments. Like closing time at the club mixed in with some kind of atmospherics. I know it goes against the code of ambiance at times but I think some drums would really add some kind of a flavor to this. (you don't have to) I do not agree with mister bear as I I do not find it repetitive or boring. As much as I like mister bear. Anyone who took high school art knows that repetition creates unity. It also makes the song resonate with listeners as it will stay in there heads. This piece is powerful because it conveys a sad emotion that truely does chill to the bone. Add a little zazz and I would say best I have heard all year! But it is deff up there. :D Good Work.

Thanks very much for the kind review :D I've thought for a while about adding some drums to it, I should get around to doing that :D

Undefined, but very intriguing

The song is a mess in dynamics, they just don't fit. The theme is nice, calming, powerful, but it stays boring. I see little change from start to finish, with only a few small additions. The song is very nice, but the lack of power or a strong climax puts the song below where it could be.

RyanAvx responds:

I see :D Thank you for your comments. I'll have a look into the dynamics, maybe making it start queit then as more instruments come in make it louder. I will also go about adding in some additions to the song like maybe an extra part and some instrument bits to make it seem less boring :D

What he said...

I agree with Jewelz. A little variation in the piano could definitely add a lot to this song. Also, some filtered pads (metal or sawtooth) fading in and out could add a few more bars and variation to this. Keep 'em light though, just enough to catch a listeners ears though ;)

RyanAvx responds:

Thank you :D I'll have a bash at this whn I edit it next :D

Almost there

This is a great piece, I can almost imagine what you have described in the description, a very pure sounding piece. One pointer which you should perhaps incorporate is to add some piano trills(?) dunno if i described that right, basically what i mean is where two or three notes are played in quick succession making it sound very skillful. Add this in and you will complete the fantasy/cosmic feeling. Great stuff! Keep up the good work.

RyanAvx responds:

Thank you very much :D I shall keep changing this if people come up with suggestion for it :D
