Phew, it's done. This truly took me ages to finish, but first things first: this is a remix of Reasoner's amazing song "The Last Flight". The original can be found here (remove any spaces NG adds): /audio/listen/131755

The melody in that song is just pure genius, and I finally decided to remix this. I'm really proud of the result, since it's one of the songs I worked hardest on. I'm very inexperienced in music, so it took me rather long to figure out the notes of Reasoner's song, and I'm sure I got some wrong, so if anyone could find any wrong notes in it for me, that'd be great ^^. As I said, I'm not that good at music theory, so when it comes to harmonization, I messed up completely here, especially in the Ambient intro, but what the heck, a little dissonance never hurt anyone, right? :P

This uses a Fantasia sound and a piano from the SGM V2.01 soundfont, a square wave I made myself, a saw synth with a saw I made with Vanguard, a saw I made with Sytrus and a saw preset of Sawer all layered together, a high bell sound and pads at the beginning and throughout the song from the Unison soundfont and a choir from Magnus Choir, along with some downloaded drum samples. I worked particularly hard on the transitions this time round, and also on the drums which are probably the best dance drums I ever did, so I hope they sound decent ^^. Also, sorry for the weird congas at the beginning, I love congra drums =3.

I hope you enjoy the song. I tried to make it a little more interesting than your usual Dance song, which is why I added the ambient intro and so much variety put into the drums and stuff. I also changed the structure of the original song quite a bit, which is a little habit I like doing with my remixes. When I remix a song, I don't consider it a full remix unless it ventures away from the strict structure and theme of the original song. I don't consider this even comparable to Reasoner's amazing version, but I worked really hard on it, and when remembering the fact that I haven't done any Dance songs for a while, hopefully all the work that I put into it shows. Enjoy the song, and please leave a review. Not only will you get a response from me (the longer your review, the longer my response) but I'll also review back with a massive review guaranteed to be bigger than yours if your review is helpful in any way. Enjoy the song, and thanks for reading/listening!

By the way, I know the mastering sucks.

mastering sucks but who cares?

Hey, good job on the remix...not really sure I'd consider this danceable, but i like what you've done with this.
