I've Waited Hours For This

Another submission from PabMo. Six hours straight of composing / mixing. I'm more than satisfied with this. Well worth the lost sleep. If there's an issue with the sound please tell me. Be kind! Brief in duration (again) because of the tempo (160). Listen to the entire song before rating. Updated on March 16th '10.

I enjoyed it

This was a pretty catchy track you made and i'm impressed that you spent 6 straight hours composing this but it was well worth it cause it sounded great with it's mix of beats and good quality and had great tempo too, overall you did a swell job on this track. =)

PabMo responds:

Yeah when I begin it's sometimes difficult to rest until I'm done so it makes for late nights. I've responded to the other review. More kindness! Thanks Molotov. From PabMo.

it works well

as mentioned in other reviews, its a very uplifting and catchy tune, i too can also see it incorporated into a game or a short flash here, whereas with some vocals itd go great as a chill sort of track to listen to on a sunday

PabMo responds:

Thanks for the review/score/rating axl. I hope someone takes notice and I see it used in a game/short. Feel free to write words and record vocals for it. That'd be interesting.

The piano at the start was nice, but could have done with a little more sustain. THis problem's pretty much remedied once the guitar and the drums kick in, but just at the start it feels a little bare.

The piece in general has a really upbeat and nice melody, it'd work well for a happy scene in a video game, or simply as some walking-about music in an RPG village or something. I wasn't totally sure about the drum mini-solo at 0:37, but once the new melody came in it was okay. The drums itself...the beat was cool, but the cymbals sometimes sounded a little too synthetic. The other instruments/sounds/synths, however, were really nicely done and just gave this warm sound throughout, again giving the feeling of happiness or contentment or something.

The structure is fairly good; the piece doesn't develop much throughout the piece, and could maybe do with a little more variety by the middle, but as a whole, this is a nice happy piece; you've got a strong mood evoked and damn, after a listen or two you do find yourself nodding along a little to it. It's catchy, not repetitive. Always a definite plus.

PabMo responds:

This review has been most helpful and pleasant to read. I do hope it's used in some kind of video game at some point, so I like to hear how it'd fit into certain themes. Yeah I agree that the cymbals aren't all too impressive but I couldn't find a more realistic sounding drum... module... plugin kind of thing. Thanks for all the kind words and I'm so glad you liked it enough to listen to it a few times. Thanks again Animith.

Quite simple

The beat is pleasing, as is the melody with this piece, but I do feel that you've over simplified this piece, going more for the assault of charm over the depth of feeling within the piece.

With how this all pans out, you have a tune that would certainly not be out of place on certain children's games, nor even within the actual game itself, just a simple sounding tune that accompanies the gameplay, while the kids carry on with playing their way through simply drawn, happy levels, about sheep or something else like that.

PabMo responds:

I'm glad it was pleasing and scored better than the last submission reviewed. I didn't want to crowd the tune. And sure! Feel free to use this in future sheep games. Thanks for the review Coop!

I liked the song man, it's very well made and it's very happy, too, iliked that, because the keyboard gave the soul of the song, it fit's really well w/ the song's concept... The drums were awesome too, they help a lot the keyboards, i really liked how it finishes and how the song is desenvolved by the drums, it's really a great song to listen!

The lenght is awesome, but I'm sure you could make more, the music kind of repeats in the middle, but, anyways, the song's melody is still great, you did a great job here, and I expect to hear more songs from you!!!

PabMo responds:

Thanks dude! You're too kind. I appreciate the kind words. I could make more but I wasn't aiming for a progressive song. It repeats a few times because I was attempting to make it more memorable. You know? If someone were to hear it just once. If that all makes sense? I'll be sure to tell you if I have another submission. :) This review has been most encouraging. Thanks again Roger!
