Hello good people,

New song again, this time dance/trance music. (wasn't sure which category to put it under...)

Anyway, I called it Project X because I couldn't think of a better title, and I think it isn't all that bad to be honest.

Written in C minor, with a bpm of 140 and a time signature of 4/4. Not sure if you guys want to know that sort of information, but there you go :)

I spent quite a few hours trying to compose this, as it's been a long time since I last wrote any real electronic dance/trance-ish music, so please keep that in mind if you vote :)

I'd appreciate some feedback and of course comments are accepted as well. Thanks in advance and I hope you like it!

(Yes, I do like the sound of bells)

I like the bells, decent track here

This was pretty nice its been awhile since i heard stuff on here but have to say this was pretty good, especilly with the {BELLS} you should push the bells more, I love the way this tune starts off with the one rythem and pushes forward to seom differant feel but still keeping the same style so nice job there, some improvements could be presented like more power sounds with the other sounds you had in there but were a tad light, so thats another issue that could be worked on.

Push the bells more they were really enique and thats what caught my attention, some more loder and quality sounds from any other instraments aswell, as stated as above.

Haha, thanks for digging up and reviewing this oldie! I didn't really know anything about mastering back then, so I just changed the volumes of each instrument a bit without actually equalizing every instrument as well.

Glad you liked it though, and I'll keep your advice in mind for future pieces =)

Nice and upbeat.

Quite an upbeat and happy song, I like that.

A few things though,

I didn't like a few of the synths, they took away from the song and seemed out of place.

This would sound better with a harder kick. It was very soft and was unrecognizable in some parts.

Some faults, but overall good.

3/5 7/10

EagleGuard responds:

Oh well, everyone has their own opinion. I think making the kick louder would completely ruin the song, to be honest. The synths have been mentioned before, I'll think about it.

Thanks for the review =)

Good song

While the synths in here do sound generic (like Coop already mentioned) I really like the added bells here. They sound pretty unique in this context and make sure that this song sticks out from the big mass of dance tracks.

But I also had the feeling that this song sounds strangely set back, just as if it tried to not attract too much attention. Maybe it's because the drums sound very weak in this song.

EagleGuard responds:

Thanks for the review. I always try to make it sound different from other songs in its genre, so maybe that's why it may sound a bit set back. I don't think it's the drums though, perhaps I should've added more depth in the song by adding more instruments, like Coop said.

Glad you like the bells =)

Up tempo and pleasant

I think that it's a decent track of synths that encapsulates the use of the bells nicely. The one problem that I found was that the synths just seemed a little generic, so I was hoping for something more there. With the way that the track progressed, perhaps strings or woodwind would have been a better accompaniment for it, so that the synths would not sound like a common issue with the track.

That said, it doesn't make the track itself sound too bad, so there is hope, which possibly rotates around slightly more availability in the other instruments.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind the next time I create something like this. Thanks for the feedback :)

Really nice song man, I like the tones under the synth a lot, and it sounded professionally done. The effects were killer and really added a lot to the song and meshed well. The synth got a lot better later in the song and just continued the streak of great rhythms.

I don't have much criticism for this one. the song could use something at points, but as I have no clue what I want in it, I can't expect you to either. very light hearted for a technoish song. Great job man.

EagleGuard responds:

Thank you, glad you liked it. And thanks for the review! :)
