So, I was inspired by Duane and Brando (youtube them if you've never heard of them) to create my own video game rap piece. I was playing through the Castlevania series recently and I decided to rap over my favourite Castlevania song, Bloody Tears. I went with the Super Castlevania IV version of Bloody Tears because it felt the most epic and fitting for me. This is my first time attempting a rap, so I hope it comes out okay. All I really did was record myself rapping over the audio, no fancy effects or anything. I hope you enjoy.
NOTE: Super Castlevania IV is a product of Nintendo. Bloody Tears is a piece from that game composed by Masanori Adachi and Sotaro Tojima. I do not own the rights to either the game or the song, and I do not claim these as my own.

Not bad. honestly I think it would have been better without the lyrics.

The audio is the official audio from the game

I was sort of expecting somthing in tune with he song. The rap isn't too good either since I can't hear some of the lyrics. 8/10 4/5

Duane and Brando eh?

those guys are pretty awesome and its great that you have some inspiration. You should e-mail them this song!

bigjonny13 responds:

I actually posted the song on youtube and showed it to Duane. He said it was pretty cool and accepted it as a video response to his Castlevania II Simon's Quest rap.

The lyrics are okay, but your voice is just terrible for rapping. Maybe it's just the bad recording quality, but maybe you should try some vocoder or get someone else to do it. Keep in mind, this has potential, but I couldn't take this very seriously.

Mreh, I'm white and I'm rapping to video game music. I didn't add any effects or something, so that's another reason why it doesn't sound great. Thanks for the feedback.

bigjonny13 responds:

I'm not a big fan of rap music, but I got into video game rap music after hearing Duane and Brando, that's who I was inspired by. Check them out on youtube, and thanks a lot man =D
