I was just starting out my fifth year on Newgrounds when I made this one. After that time, I wanted to do another remix of Sonic 3’s Ice Cap, because it was the first thing I ever posted on Newgrounds in 2006. This was definitely more of a milestone piece. This time I created a bell melody that I thought was perfect for the feel of the song. The main one that can be heard from beginning to end. I basically just recreated what I did the first time and improvised a few changes from there.. This one, however, would be just a tad bit more successful than that first version. By this time, I was already a better-known name. I’ve learned so much since that first post. And the people enjoyed it. Quite a bit.

This flows well, i like it. :)

I appreciate that. A lot had changed in those five years, as it has in the 13 since I've started. It's good to know that some things still get recognition where it's needed for that matter. Thank you very much!

Very sure i found this 1 on YT b4,with a couple 100,000 views,oh well

I was actually surprised to find a lot of my works in YouTube videos, before my unfortunate hiatus in 2010. I owe some of the popularity with my songs to those videos, specifically YouTube Poop. I'm hoping that now that I'm more active since 2016, I'll see something come up sooner or later.

Thanks for the review and the 5en!

Side project my ass.

This sounds like you put a lot of work into it as far as rearranging. And for a remix made in 2010 posted on Newgrounds, it really stands out as unique in more than one way. Now, for the critique.
The bass is on point, but maybe the kick could have had more of a punch to it as far as loudness. I could feel it, but it wasn't exactly audible with lesser speakers. The lead and the backing seemed to melt together at times, making it sound just a little muddy. And the high end of the percussion could have stood out a little better.
Other than that, I'm impressed.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Well said. What a review. If I can remember right my main focus was the lead percussion instrument you hear from the beginning, which is actually a synth I created. But yeah, #WheresYoBass I'll keep that in mind for the future. Thank you

this. is. master.
I like! :D

I've heard a lot of remixes of this song over the years... and I have to say yours is my absolute favourite. My (rather spectacular if I do say so myself :P) hat is off to you, sir! Keep up the fantastic work!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Thank you. Of course some of those other ones were, shall we say, inspirations.
