right at the start i made it clear to myself that this is awesome, but i have still heard too many remixes from this song so i was gonna just pass this but, but, but...i need to download this, all my stars are belong to this!
Now, this is probably one of the more well known tracks in all of video games, but I actually did this remix a little while back as a demonstration of using effects on instrument tracks (i.e. reverb, delay, flanger, compressors, etc.). I made two versions of the song, one with FX attached to the instruments and mix, and one without (I commented on a musician saying he needed to work with effects on tracks in improve the quality of his mixes, and he wanted to hear the difference between with/without effects). I will edit the link to the "non-effect" version in to this description when I get it up on NG.

As for the mix itself, it is a remix of Dr. Wily's Castle Stage 1. Kind of like an upbeat rock orchestra. Features strings, horns, woodwinds, mixed in with a synth bass and drums, and distortion guitars. There are certainly many great remixes of this song, so I'm not alone in thinking this is just one awesome VG track to work with! Comments and reviews welcome. Enjoy!
Be sure to check out my other tracks ;)

Intriguing!
I like where this is going - definitely hits the orchestral feel; but still seems to include some classic video game sounds to sweeten the feel.
Good on you!
Whoo boy
Really good, but lighten up on stuffing as much as you can fit simultaneously into your tracks! It gets really crowded, look into using EQs and panning to widen the available audio canvas :)
D*MN SON!!!
Newgrounds is the only place on earth where you can go in search for a remix of an already awesome song that is almost impossible to compare up to- AND FIND ONE!!
Perfect
You did everything right in this mix. You kept very near to the source material and didn't take so many artistic liberties to the point of annoyance. On the other hand, you switched up the rhythm and instrumentation enough to make a song that is repetitive by nature not seem as such. Kudos, sir.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
