Hi everyone, how's it going?
I'm back with a weird piece. It is basically an experiment, I wanted it to sound dark and possibly creepy.
The result is a hybrid between a Funeral Doom-ish track and obviously a Dark Ambient one.
My main influence in this was a song called "The March and The Stream" (which is also my favorite), made by Funeral Doom pioneers Skepticism (*bows*).
Here you can find heavy rain, thunderstorm, funeral march tempo, creepy background ambiance and an ominous bell. Usually my compositions tend to last for minutes, but since this is only an experiment, I don't want it to be too repetitive, so it clocks at a respectable time of 3:01.

Turn up the volume if needed. Don't worry, no screamers in there... xD

great mood setting background music!

I love how it builds ever so slightly over time instead of being static. the volume of the instruments is well set, the quiet bass strings ( i believe) give a looming, ominous feel to it. I like how it changes slightly too, it isn't just the same loop of sound over and over and over.
Very good for just an experiment!
what about adding a processed choir or metallic screech in? -- with either a sustained note or maybe a slow gradual theme to add a little extra depth.

This was actually my first real dark ambient experiment. I gradually discarded this idea, and focused on other things instead. At the time, I didn't have a good quality microphone, so I couldn't record myself and process the sounds. If you wait enough, after my collab is done ("Reflections"), another one is coming soon called "Fallen Eclipse" - a pure Dark Ambient one. ^^

Nice, but...

Hey man thanks for the response, and i'll be looking and reviewing all of your stuff (most of it anyways). This is nice. but it just needs...well music. If you can throw so music into the rain, thunder storms, and the church bell I think this will turn out much better.

Creativity-3
Rhythm-1 (add music)
Emotion-3
Placement-4 (with a bit of music it'd go great in a game.)
Mixture-1 (need to mix it up a bit with music or maybe even the ocasional high pitched scary sound.)

Well, as I said this was an experiment and in fact, it isn't even music. But you know, maybe this is just a concept on which I'll work on, so I can't tell.
